My mother was born in Korea and spent four years in a Korean orphanage. She was adopted by a family here in the states (Mormon, military vet father). I've always been interested in Korea being that my mother knows nothing of our ethnic heritage and really, we both find that Korean culture is strange.
The problem is that, at the end of the day, people see something different, and strange, they run without trying to ever understand it.
