For us Dutch is the Chinese, Japanese, Koreans, Indonesians, Viets, Mongols whatever are all the same, een pot nat!

Ha, and here I thought Americans were fucking dumb.
 Quoting: Se7en

Actually, in Korea they are quite racist. My mother was put up for adoption BECAUSE of the fact that she was only half-Korean. The Koreans and the Japanese hate one another because of World War II.
I hear this is widespread in Asia, racism that is. Then again, it seems the Chinese hate the Japanese, too.
 Quoting: Boudicca

Right, so that excuses everyone else to be as racist as they wsant towards all Asian countries. I understand.
 Quoting: Se7en

NOT AT ALL!
I'm pointing out that, unfortunately, everyone seems to hate everyone else. They should be focused on the governments, but it's easier to hate the people you see in front of you.

dance dance dance dance dance
until then, just have fun with it! thumbs dance

I've been walking around the house singing this. I saw it this weekend when me and my friends got a couple of bottles of wine, watched SNL with Seth McFarlane and some awful R&B singer, and bitched about our husbands.

Only clip I could find, but VERY funny!

 Quoting: Boudicca

Frank Ocean is not awful, look him up on youtube....I'll admit the alternate live version he sings of thnkin bout you isn't my favorite here is another one of his songs.

194,231,101

Almost 200 million views on youtube, signed with Scooter Braun who manages and discovered Justin Bieber.

Soon this video will make it into the top 10 most viewed YouTube videos of all time.

All this in only 2 months since it was uploaded to YouTube.

Since he came to the states to meet with Scooter he has been at the VMA's, on Ellen, interviewed with Ryan Seacreast, and many big disc Jockeys, on Saturday Night Live, Nightline, the Today show........

This man (PSY) writes his own music and lyrics, directs his own videos and was educated here at Berkley college of Music.

The wheels are turning to make him a international star, expect more music in English....soon. This is not a one hit wonder.

I think it is great that it makes people smile --world wide (we need more of that) and there is a deeper social commentary behind his video...

so, people can enjoy his music on two levels.

It just shows how stupid people really are, I mean this dumb videos has over 10 million views while we got other video warning us about certain events that are occurring around the world that only have about 1 thousand views, sad but like always only a few will not suffer when shtf. This normals or sheeple are going to get hit hard when disasters strikes, because they do not prepare or give a damn about learning about anything important that is occurring around the world right now, there has been a lot of things happening in this days but only a very few know that because the rest of the world don't care they just seek entertainment like always.

People are not stupid, if you go with the conspiracy..Michael Jackson was deemed too dangerous because he was spreading "world Peace",

If you go with the "collective consciousness" and see that anything that lifts spirits, raises positive energy--it is a "good" thing.

Gangnam Style, Dissected: The Subversive Message Within South Korea's Music Video Sensation

"One of the first things Hong pointed to in explaining the video's subtext was, believe it or not, South Korea's sky-high credit card debt rate. In 2010, the average household carried credit card debt worth a staggering 155 percent of their disposable income (for comparison, the U.S. average just before the sub-prime crisis was 138 percent). There are nearly five credit cards for every adult. South Koreans have been living on credit since the mid-1990s, first because their country's amazing growth made borrowing seem safe, and then in the late 1990s when the government encouraged private spending to climb out of the Asian financial crisis. The emphasis on heavy spending, coupled with the country's truly astounding, two-generation growth from agrarian poverty to economic powerhouse, have engendered the country with an emphasis on hard work and on aspirationalism, as well as the materialism that can sometimes follow."

"Gangnam, Hong said, is a symbol of that aspect of South Korean culture. The neighborhood is the home of some of South Korea's biggest brands, as well as $84 billion of its wealth, as of 2010. That's seven percent of the entire country's GDP in an area of just 15 square miles.

A place of the most conspicuous consumption, you might call it the embodiment of South Korea's one percent. "The neighborhood in Gangnam is not just a nice town or nice neighborhood. The kids that he's talking about are not Silicon Valley self-made millionaires. They're overwhelmingly trust-fund babies and princelings," he explained."

This skewering of the Gangnam life can be easy to miss for non-Korean.

It's not that complicated.

Hes making fun of arrogant, shallow people who think they are cool.

Get it?

He thought he was just making fun of stupid Koreans....

But we love in in North America because our culture is just as stupid, arrogant and shallow.

It is a big middle finger to the "cool" people. That's why everyone loves it. We all know how fake "coolness" is and on some level we are all sick of it.

Thank you. Someone finally got it right. I had to say something because people are trying to read something into this that it is not. Look a little deeper into who Psy is and who his father is and the video will make even more sense. He is just having fun making fun of that Gangnam style of life, and he finally got a big hit!
