They may very well mean this, but what we are forgetting is that al Qaeda is fastly being run down and that they have partnered with the Taliban years back. Funny because the Taliban did not want to, however they needed they money that Bin Laden had at his disposal. Whose to say that al Qaeda is not going to become dissolved and they will stand under the Taliban.

I doon't trust them..how can the west. They run their lives through religion and anything they do is justified by Allah. No piece of paper is going to stop radical Islam. I'm betting it is their attempt to get the west off of their back, especially since they have been getting deeply involved in African nations the past few years. We see all these threads about the middle east and troops over there, but somehow have overlooked Africa and the troops being sent there as well.

We all know someday this world will fade, and we can not control everything and everybody , it has gotten us broke an hated, but we in good faith should work on this, I believe God is giving us a chance and we should take it.

Also, if the west backs off, it will allow for them to become stronger and take over more land, killing anybody who gets in their way. I would put money on this has something to do with Africa. And the west is not going to back out of Africa, theres newly discovered oil there.

BUT come to think of it, Obummer might go for it... seeing he wants to bring the west down.

I really wish it would work, but I do not think you understand the mentality of radical Islam. I do not think we should be as involved as we are, and yes, the west is fastly becoming hated. However, radical Islam is becoming a part of west and if the west allows for it to contimue at such a fast pace, our grandchildren will be living under Shria Law. Do you want that for them? It's not Islam that is the problem, its radical Islam and the regimes behind it. They are trying to take over the world, global jihad. Trust me on this (not that you have to).. but I know what I am talking about. Allah is the only god for them and they will continue to be martyrs for him.

I whole heartedly agree with you, but you and I don't have a say at the moment.. well we do, but nobody will listen. However, if we would pick up today and leave and not care about oil anymore, it's still not going to stop radical Islam. Those sick bastards kill innocent people because they feel thats what Allah would have wanted them to do. men and their children and fathers can and do stone their their wife/mother/daughter because they felt she cheated on them over there... and they are happy to do it!! If they can treat themselves in that manner, they have no problems with those laws, do you really think that they will not do it to others? They already declared a global jihad and that means they must do what they can to make Allah and Islam the only god/religion. Don't let some fool you by saying that they only try to get people to convert..Under their law, people who do not convert must pay, one way or another. And this very concept is being taught in Islamic centers and schools everywhere in the west! They teach their children to hate the very country they live in. And the west allows it to happen because of freedom of religion and because people are afraid they will be attacked by the public because they said/did something bad to the Muslims. It's just like how people are afraid to stand up against the US president, for fear they will be call racist, when infact they are not racist people at all.

I completely understand what you are saying, however, there is too much at risk, too many lives could be terrorized and lost. We are not talking about grade school children in a disagreement. If we were to back off now and allow for the radicals to grow in power, even more people will die. Radical Islam and its believers will never stop, as much as I pray and hope they would, its not going to happen. In their world they have nothing to lose, in fact to become a martyr is to best way to be closest to Allah.

When it all comes down to it, everybody is to blame for the situation we are living in today. The west does not rule its governments with religion they way some middle east countries do. Sadly, we have taken almost everything religion based out of our governments. For this reason, I think, is partly to blame for the greediness and big government. They have treated some countries so terrible that they felt they had to stand up for themselves, and I can't say I completely blame them. But again the real problem is the radical Islam and the regimes who rule over the people. Many citizens in middle eastern countries feel the same way you and I do, they do not want to see anymore war and people getting killed. But most there are too frieghtened to stand up because they will die, usualy a horrible death. The regimes have too much power over the lives of the people in their countries.

I am not trying to bash you, I respect you for how you feel and I really wish it was a simple as signing a piece of paper and everything would be okay, but the fact of the matter is, it will not be. I am not willing to risk my children living in fear or being terrorized just to see if al Qaeda would stick to their plan, especially when it's a terrorist organization we are talking about.

Do you think it's a little fishy that this comes at the time of the 9/11 anniversary? To me, that makes it even more so unbelieveable because this is how they operate. There is more behind this.. much more. We will find out soon enough what it is. Two things can come of this, we sign the agreement, they grow larger and get more power and weapons and eventually attack us or we don't sign this and it gives reason for them to declare war on us, and we may see smaller attacks here. Honestly, I am surprised we have not seen suidice bombers in the US. Of course I am happy about that and hope to never see another terrorist attack again, but I'm also worried because the quiet is disturbing. It makes me feel as if something bigger is in the works.. Remember the first WTC attacks were in 1993 and it took untill 2001 for them to attack it again.

I would suggest you do a little research into radical Islam. Maybe you would have a better understanding why so many people say that Islam is bad. I myself do not think true Islam is bad, only how it has been interperited to become what it has in many parts of the world. I'm sure you have seen government officals being sworn in with the bible and you understand why. Well when the Qur'an is used, they may as well be using a stack blank papers because if a person does something in the name of Allah, it in a way trumps Islams holy book because of the mushaf. The mushaf is an interpetation of the Qur'an. Unlike the bible, the stories written in the mushaf cross out previous stories. In other words what might have been okay in the bigging of the book is no longer okay. And this is where most experts feel radical Islam stemmed from. A person really needs to do research to fully understand the different views and interpritations.
What we see in our world today is hundreds of years in the making, on all sides.

There will never be peace, or at least not in our lifetimes.

I can safely say the past 24 hours has rest my case againt radical Islam. If we give them anymore slack, those attacks will quickly begin in all western countries. Look at Norway, the radicals are threatening to have another 9 11 if they don't give them their own part of the city; apparently radicals said that they do not want to live near dirty people of the west. If they hate the west so badly, why do they continue to move to there? Jihad, would be my answer.

It's great that you have faith in God, I think it's healthy for the mind and soul; however, we cannot make an agreement with the devil and expect to win. What is happening has been going on for centuries, it's a war against religion, but more complicated because more people than ever do not have religion and others have made money their religion.

I have done my research into radical Islam, and have to continue to do so every single day. These people are in fact mentally ill, anybody who gets so upset over a move that they kill and cause destruction are. Those poor souls have been brainwashed and every generation gets worse.
