So we were driving thru Atlanta last night and we noticed these signs talking about being prepared. I got one on video. [ link to www.youtube.com] I didn't know anything about any National Month of it, but here's an excerpt from Georgia's website: "National Preparedness Month creates an opportunity for every Georgian to learn more about ways to prepare for all types of emergencies," said Perdue. "Emergency preparedness is the responsibility of every Georgian. We can take a few simple steps – creating a disaster supply kit, making a family disaster plan and staying informed – to help make citizen preparedness a priority in every community." [ link to www.ready.ga.gov] What type of disaster are they expecting I wonder... Also, we found out that Rosh Hashanah was at the beginning of October of last year 2011 and Preparedness month was October of last year. This year Rosh Hashanah falls on September and so does the Preparedness month. I just thought that was a bit of a coincidence for those of us who believe in a Rosh Hashanah Rapture. This is my first post on GLP, and I hoped someone might find it interesting. |
