Dude, what ATF is doing is basically the CAFRA laws (federal seizure laws) instituted and refined in 1995. Like I said, this is NO NEWS...

First off, the DoJ told the ATF to do this and not Obama. But the problem here is unelected officials ruling by mandate. They are not responsible to the voters. Thee Constitution says all laws must originate from the congress. For congress not to act on these mandates by unelected officials is perhaps more treasonous than the mandates passed by unelected officials.
Do you know how many time the phrase, "determined by a person at a later time" appear in the ObamaCare law? Do you know how many times those same words appear in Frank-Dodd?
Congress is passing laws giving their power to these unelected officials to determine what they want to do. For that, congressional members should be hog tied, strung up and tickled with a feather duster for their treasonous reliquishment of power.

The only thing is, they have been doing this for some time now with cash. I've fought and gotten over $50,000 back total for my clients in the last 6 months, none of which were ever arrested or found to possess drugs. However, in most cases, the government claims that "they did not have good explanations for the cash" most times it involves less than $10,000, and all were only traveling within the U.S. Typically also involves people from immigrant families who do not always use banks. I have at least 3 open cases im still fighting. This includes only the people who actually have enough sense to call a lawyer and/or fight back. many don’t.

And finally, my background and reasoning for thinking this new piece of bureaucratic horseshit is worth fighting. I'm a drunk that's had some overnights in the county drunk tank. That said, I've been sober for 4 1/2 years now and, Lord willing, will make it to 5yrs without a drink. I work in the firearms industry and carry concealed (yes, I have a permit), and interact with On Duty LEO's just about daily. The catch, I've still got a Public Intox arrest with subsequent hospitalization for acute alcohol poisoning on my record. (I had a .41 BAC, LD50=.40 BAC. 24yrs old then and couldn't go more than 6 hours w/out a drink.) Even though its many years passed, it sounds like that's grounds enough for them to 'relieve' me of my weapons (of which I rely on in my daily life to hopefully deter or as a last resort prevent violence done to me and mine), none of which are NFA regulated, nor do I even have that many.

I call 'BULLSHIT' on this edict. This admin can go fuck itself with something hard and sand-papery, if it thinks it's going to commit ARMED ROBBERY on otherwise law abiding citizens for what amounts to nothing more than suspicion and hearsay of a potential victimless crime and get away with it.
