You could clearly see the Cab driver assault the marine just like he said...after the marine gently pushed him to get out of the car the Cab driver flails his arms in the Marines face...i dont think the cabbie has a chance in hell winning in court as the evidence is plain as day for anyone to see.

I'm not going to debate the extensive integrity required to become a military grunt, but the fact is you don't turn the general population against the very populace who pays for it.

You obey the law, you are trained in any enforcement to protect the population not attack it preemptively. A childish worthless opinion won't heal a scared nation.

Discipline is the best virtue learned in any military. That man did not show discipline. You as a marine or any other military personal are supposed to be above civilian thinking and action, so why stoop to being some stupid ass jersey shore meat head?

Even if the cabbie 'assaulted him first,' he should not be intimidated by it nor should he be worried any other way. Did you all see the same video i did? If this cabbie would have punched me or 'assaulted' me i would have just laughed and asked him if all hes got. If he was really intimidated by a cabbie that stops when hes told, says 'sir PLEASE get out of the car', helps him get the seat belt off because he can't, then he has some real problems(this i find absolutely hilarious that he must ask for help to remove a seat belt! for a former marine that is supposed to be able to act accordingly in ANY situation.(so that u idiots cant say 'o but he was flustered by his anger') We would have made jested with squadmates for doing stupid things like this when we were in boot...) The only reason a person acts on primal instinct, like some of you are excusing him for, is because they feel intimidated.

1. looked military, if he wasn't military, he should be.

Again, "Marine" should ALWAYS be capitalized when you are referring to a current or past member of the United States Marine Corps! It is a TITLE that is EARNED.

Also, there are no "ex-Marines" -- once a Marine, ALWAYS a Marine!

I don't quite understand what the big thing is about US marines, there not well trained, not very fit, the only good thing about them is they have good gear. Here's a little example for you, here in the UK theres a little thing called the PRC you have to pass before you can undertake the royal marine basic training course. They have a saying if you pass the PRC its the same as passing the USMC boot camp. Thats the difference in standards.
