FLU GOING AROUND...we're all sick around here

Weird.

4 of us (mom, dad, 2 kids) all sick with flu... but... but... it's crazy hot with temps going 30's Celsius!

Am hearing of lot of cases in my region as way.

Although it's is early than normal for the season I try to think it's seasonal.

What I'm finding strange is that I heard a lot people having ear infections, and it hit me too. As at lesser rate there are people with eye infections, and this morning I woke up with weeping eyes, and it feels like I have a sand or 2 in there. I'm hoping for the best but I'm afraid I'll have to have this as well.

you know, you bring up a very strange thing. I have been picking what looks like sand out of my eyes for months now!

What is it with the sand in the eyes?
Is that dangerous if you have not been around sand?
Could it be like salt chrystals or some terrible condition???

Sounds like rheum, which your eyes use to wash the bacteria away while you sleep. That is what makes eye boogers and sleepy seeds, or sand, or whatever you want to call it. If you have a bacterial infection of the eye your eye will, of course, create more rheum to try to clean itself while you sleep.

Everyone I know is just fine, lets hope it stays that way, I hate flu's.

Chronic Rheum. Never heard of it before. I wonder if there's a treatment. I swear i have managed to pull lots of my eyelashes out with those little bits of sand?
Anyway, using a nebulizer and eating soup, tons of advil and store brand Excedrin like stuff is getting me through.

Did you not read that the flu has mutated to be able to survive in warmer climates now...this happened last spring in a lot of places...

and the new release today that H1N1 vaccine causes the flu to spread even faster(will be covering this on just measures radio today)

watch out folks this is going to get worse before it gets any better...I can go through my archived notes and find the old artical about the mutation but it would probably easier for those who are interested to just google the info(evey time I post a story or link I get banned)

the best advice I have for the now started flu season is to hold on to your hats its going to be a bad one(if you are prepper get in those flu supplies) masks,cotton balls to protect your ears,goggles for eyes,rubber gloves for hands...a sick room and please remember the top 2 spreaders of germs...shopping carts and gas pump handles...

Have had a raging flu run through our family for the past week including myself. In addition to my sisters family where she and my 3 nephews have bren fighting a bad bug. Been crazy hot this summer...way above average
