I don't put people down but people shouldn't be so thin-skinned either.

Sometime trolls and bullies do what they do because some people over-react or are easily riled up and it's fun for them - it gives them a sense of power.

Ultimately people should take some responsibility for their own feelings - too many people get 'hurt' even when someone simply disagrees with them, offers even very constructive criticism or has different tastes.

It is amazing how many people take even their political opinions or musical tastes personally as though they are extensions of their own ego, and take even simple disagreements as a personal attack.
