Here's an example. I took my hubby to one of my favorite breakfast diners that was kinda edgy in my home city. We didn't know each other very well at the time and he is very conservative and I like to be around different people although we're both traditional people if that makes sense.

The waitress came to our table with her tattooed arms and a barbed wire necklace to take our order. My husband looked at her like she had 3 heads, he just stared. She left and I started talking about other things and he commented on if I saw "that". Well, yes, I did and I didn't really think there was anything to talk about but he stared at her all the way to and fro and wanted to have a conversation about it. I was hoping she didn't hear him since I'm skeptical of what people do to my food, anyway. We learned a little more about each other through that experience but I've had experiences with other people that were loud and embarrassing like when people have something they have no control over, it just sounds mean and why stare at them from the moment you see them until they walk all the way across the room? I really don't get it. Do they not know that's rude and unnecessary? If a person has vitaligo staring them down the whole time is not going to correct it and only makes that person feel uncomfortable.
