Loud Rumbling Thunder Noise In Orange County CA. Any OC'ers hearing this?
The loud thunder type sound started around 10pm tonight and is still going. I thought it might be a night op at Camp Pendelton which is about 45 minutes south of where I am in OC.

Anyone in OC hearing this too?

BTW, not a cloud in the sky. Weather is clear.

Not tonight but a few days ago we heard a loud thunder like boom midday, when totally sunny. If I hear it, I'm in Laguna, I will write in again

Only one word he used in that statement could be considered religious, which is repent, and even so, the word repent is not exclusive to any one religion in the first place, its honestly more of overarching truth; like taking responsibility for your actions whether their positive or negative. I think you're defensive for no reason. And nothing is going to happen to california until it happens, and then when it does it wouldn't matter because it actually happened. So focus on the now.

Re: Loud Rumbling Thunder Noise In Orange County CA. Any OC'ers hearing this?
OK so last night my roommate, dog and I were hearing loud booms. We usually hear faint booms that we assume are camp pendleton. Last night they were much louder though. I live in Lake Forest near Trabuco and El Toro. The booms were not faint and were continuous into the late evening. Normally any CP noises subside by 10pm or so. I went to bed at midnight and they were still going on. The freakiest part was being woken up well into my bedtime by an extremely loud crack, like a lightning strike outside my window. Of course this woke me up BC it scared the sh** out of me. There were no clouds or anything more so I went back to sleep but my dog kept waking me his curiosity of the booms that continued well into the night. I asked my roommate and coworkers about it today but no one recalls what I experienced. Any info that anyone has on this would realty make my day. I'm really glad I found this forum to prove I'm not going crazy.

Re: Loud Rumbling Thunder Noise In Orange County CA. Any OC'ers hearing this?
i live in South Orange county, California and have been hearing a low rumbling noise at night now on and off for a few days now. my husband first heard it days ago it and thought it was just the tv (our surround sound system) and said nothing to me. then a day or so later i heard it and thought we were about to have an earthquake. i immediately muted the tv and the sound was very scary. my husband then told me that the night he heard it, he walked outside to see if he could find out where it was coming from and he discovered our next door neighbor outside saying the same thing! so we were not alone in hearing this sound. the earth doesn't shake but it's a very low rumble sound.

i have heard it a few nights now. and only at night. to me it sounds like there's a giant walking the earth. thats the best way i can describe the sound and cadence. i can picture a giant walking very slowly, rumbling the earth with each step. i obviously DON'T believe it'a a giant, but it's what i choose to compare the sound to.

the only reason i am posting here right now is because i JUST muted the tv again after hearing the noise once more. i finally decided to google it to see if anyone else in my area has heard it. my husband said something must be going on at Camp Pendleton. many sounds can travel far. we can hear Disneyland's fireworks every night at 9:30 and we are about 25 miles away from Anaheim so i know loud noises travel. i am just totally creeped out by these sounds and was curious if anyone knew what the heck was going on.

I heard it last night in Menifee, Ca around 9p.m., four and a half hours later there was a 4.1 earthquake in Ocotillo, Ca. Not sure if it's related but I hear it often sounds like someone is pounding their fists on an invisible wall in the sky and I feel vibrations on the ground at the same time.

I live in Irvine and we hear that "boom" sound a lot. My wife always thinks it is a plane, but lately, after looking in the sky and not seeing any, she has started to wonder that theory.

They have been spraying the sky like crazy the past few days too.
