What a stinking pile of dog shit this operating system is. The Metro interface is all cloud based which totally eliminates any sense of privacy and security for the end user. On top of that, the desktop is now cut down and has the start button castrated. Finding one's way around is now guesswork since the OS offers no visual clues as to what the fuck is going on. The file manager now incorporates that totally fucked up ribbon bar - the one that everyone hates. It's inclusion was made to piss everyone off no doubt.

yeah you might want to back up a few versions, the latest ubuntu i just installed has no task bar or start button either.

it also does that dumbshit mac thing where it detaches the menu bar from applications and puts it at the top of the screen, rather than in the window it's actually for.

If you dont like Windows 8 then my advice to everyone is wait for Windows 9.

Windows 9 will be so much faster and user friendly, just like Windows 95 used to be but without BSOD (Blue screen of death).

Windows 8 is definite improvement over it's predecessor, and represents the next step in the evolution of computers.

I put Windows 8 on my laptop, to upgrade Windows 7, and now I have a modern looking interface instead of something that looks like it's from the last decade. My next machine will have a touch screen.

You've got to hand it to Microsoft, they really do lead the world and show the rest how it's done! I love Microsoft - and I'm luvin Windows 8.
