What people do not realize is that RIGHT NOW Uncle Ben can NOT raise rates or announce no more QE. The market would crash and I mean crash HARD. Obummer would have a meltdown, this can not happen right before the election as it will be too fresh in voters minds. The lesser of two evils, for Uncle Ben and Obummer is QE3. It will pump the markets, short term at least, and make all the sheep go drool over their 401Ks and other EBA's. Yes, PMs will jump and the dollar will fall but THAT is better now and then things can be changed after the election. WRONG Hyperinflation is an increase in the money supply; what are they teaching in school these days? eople do lose faith in money, true, but raising pices is a defense against increasingly worthless money. For instance, money right now is worthless paper, but I can still use it even tho I really have no confidence long term in it. If more worthless money was not printed the money in circulation would retain some value. No one "lost" confidence in the dollar even tho it has been backed by nothing since 1974 We are both right as it is a combination of the two.
