That's a direct quote from LEO when the cameras were placed
on nearly every street corner.

Now they want protection from cameras after installing a
massive networked system of their own?

I'm so disgusted by the BS, talking out of the side of the mouth,
the lies, the manipulation. No one tells the truth, every one is
scrambling for more power. They lie to you, they lie to me,
they lie to each other. Doesn't matter, businessmen, bankers,
politicians, police, street thugs, cheaters... none of them have
the moral upper hand. It's all about who has the power.

Who has the money/weapons has the power. And that's only
because the majority of people can be bought. Otherwise,
they'd take a stand.
