Who Created God?
Let me prefix this post with this...

I was raised Christian, and I believe in being a good person, do no harm to others or yourself etc... However I do not believe Christianity is real, I do not believe that the bible speaks truth outside of the 10 commandments which I think are good guidelines to live a nice life, outside of that it's all baloney.

I believe there is a higher power of some sort, there has to be, but none of the religions on earth have it correct. I think if you live a good life whatever higher power judged you in the end will do so on your actions in life, not what silly nonsense you believed in.

Now to the point!

[link to www.godandscience.org]

Read that article, and then comeback. This is dudes explanation for how God has always existed...

spacetime - the dimension we live in, where space and time are inseparable. So when the Universe was created by whomever, space and time were created together, and before that no space and no time existed.

eternity - being outside of time, basically a dimension or realm where time does not exist, where such a being like god exists.

cause and effect - spacetime is a dimension of ordered events, and time is the measurement, or ordering of those events in the order in which they happen.

In our universe, every effect has a cause, and because a cause must come before an effect, that means there has to be some "time" between the cause and effect.

So basically dudes point is since god lives in eternity, where time is not present, he could not have been caused, he could not have been created, only existed, because without time there is no "before" and thus no cause, just pure existence.

Then he states the reason "why" god created the universe. He says he wanted to share eternity with other beings, but didn't want to force them he wanted them to make up their own minds.

So at first glance that all sounds reasonable until you think of it this way.

If in eternity there is no "before" then there is also no "after" which means if god has always existed then the universe has always existed and we have always existed! It is non sensical to ask the question "what was god doing before he created us" because there is no time so there is no "before", and thus there is no "after".

Which basically means that the unverse, god, and us have always existed, and at the same time we don't exist now either, because since there is no "after" that means the universe is concurrently in all possible states it could possible be in, just created, 1million years ago, present time, 2030, 2640, and it has vanished, and all possible events have taken place already.

Basically it means that everything that will happen, has already happened, and it has not yet happened at the same time!

There is no free will because everything has already happened, so when god created the universe he created our decisions on weather or not be with him, so what's the point of him making the Universe?

Think people, the simplest answer is usually the correct answer, so why make a universe for no reason? doesn't seem simple to me.

Anyways, how about some Christians come and explain their viewpoint to me?

Re: Who Created God?
God is described as a dynamic energy spirit person. He is energy with a personality in a spirit body. We are energy with a personality in a physical body.

Anyway, scientifically speaking energy cannot be made or destroyed.

So if you figure out where energy came from then you will know where God came from.

Until then we just will never know and really don't need to know. God just is just as energy just is. Our limited minds cannot understand it anyway and just don't try lest your brain blow up.LOL

Think about something special: an entity/consciousness "All-That-Is" that was never created and always existed. It needed though some illusion of limited life experience to achieve contrast to Its eternity.

That's why physical life is an illusion, beyond that there's a Timeless Now, which is a God-consciousness.

It a strange feeling to think that there's something that NEVER was created, the Creator Itself. Think, the Creator ALWAYS existed, ALWAYS and FOREVER!

Can you grasp the idea, OP?

God compromises the intelligent energy which is the basis of all matter in this universe. The creator of the sandbox, however, is a mystery who's answer is known only by the intelligent energy itself.

I can not, which is why I posted this thread.

Honestly I just don't see the possibility for something to have "always" existed.

It's pretty mind baffling, it's an infinite recursion with no answer. For instance, who created god? who created gods creator? and so forth...

There is a higher power out there, I just don't think the bible is correct, and honestly just having "faith" is like believing in Santa clause and is the reason this world is such a hell hole.

I saw someone post this earlier in a different thread but honestly, it is the best point of view and humaity should adopt it.

From how I understand it, anything that is void of atoms (the physical) is god. This empty space is infinite in all directions, and has always existed.. and always will exist. It has the god consciousness.

You can't comprehend God because God is outside of time and space.

But this will really throw you for a loop. We now that certain strong events, say 9/11 where there is a lot of focus ripple through time both ways, effecting the past and the future.

Now apply this to God. What if God is really a product of our past, present and future, and always has been.

Well there is a theory that our Universe expands and collapses in cycles, so you can play any possibility in it, there also is the theory that the universe is inifite, then there is a theory about a multiverse, where our universe just is one possibile out of unlimited.

There may be a plan for us but saying freewill does not exist, i can´t agree, well there is something like coinstences where things just go together.

But i still think you can alter the outcome.

Well but in the other way we are just expressions "thoughts" of this omnipotent beign, so maybe we are just there for entertainment and he can alter the outcome to what he likes it to be.

But most new age shit says we should alter ourself to go back to this source, and we have to learn what to do by altering this universe so every choise has a effect in our domain, but in the end not in his he may allready know what we do, well maybe he predicted it.

But still even he might not be 100% correct maybe 99%, but we may still be able to surprise him.

GOD IS TIME AND SPACE...

IF YOU ARE OUTSIDE OF TIME AND SPACE...

THEN THE PROBLEM IS YOU!!!

TIME IS AN EVENT CAUSED BY MANKIND...

MANKIND THAT IS CREATED BY GOD...

"THE EVENT" TAKES PLACE IN SPACE...

SPACE IS MAINTAINED BY "THE TRUTH"...

"THE TRUTH" IS JESUS CHRIST...

SPACE CAN CONTINUE FOR A SHORT SPACE OF TIME...

BY YOUR OWN TRUTH..

YOU OWN TRUTH IS NOT "THE TRUTH"...

THEREFORE YOU DIE!!!
