Is there a US consulate in Benghazi?? Where is it on Google Earth?? Good luck finding it!

Anyone?? We are all talking about this place but can you point it out on the map?? Seems pretty hard to find.

I wasn't really paying attention, but I wsa visting with my parents this evening and they had the news on. I thought they said it was more of a temporary facility that was in the muild of a housing area or something dumb like that. Sorry I couldn't help, but it maybe really hard.

Someone please scroll down past all of those worthless pins and answer this question.

So they plunked this guy down in the middle of a war zone, and taped a sign to his ass that said "Kick Me" basically.

I read an article that seemed to imply it had only been open a couple days, maybe a few weeks. It makes sense considering the revolution barely just ended.

I may be wrong but that's probably why it isn't easy to find. It hasn't been there long enough for any Google Earth user to surf by and put a marker there.

Benghazi was the rebel HQ of the revolution as you may remember. Obviously this ambassador was the terrorist point man parlaying with the cutthroats, getting them guns, smuggling their heroin for them, getting them girls to rape and murder. If I had to place a bet, I'd wager this guy was a fucking scumbag that the world will not miss.

Yeah i found a US embassy in Tripoli but no mention of Benghazi anywhere.

My history file for IE is fucked and hasn't entered a website since the day I bought this computer. Somehow I've turned history off so I don't know if I can find that article. I read it here. It's somewhere on this site.

What the article said was the ambassador had just travelled there a few days ago. He had only been there a couple days. It sounded like he was there supervising the startup, though that was not explicitly stated.

I made a couple google attempts and never found it but did notice one thing, the office does not have a .gov website like every other US consulate office in the world does. That tells me it was so new that it wasn't even open yet.

I'll keep looking.

I dont know about you but ive never seen a mailing address like that.
