Help! Antibiotics gsve me yeast infection!

Acidophilus is the best thing I've found to take. I usually start it when I start the antibiotics and take it for about a week after I'm done. Eating yogurt can help too.

I have the exact same issue when I have to take antibiotics. It sucks!

Antibiotics are mold. Live mold. That's why they eat your gut flora.

you can fast on coconut oil and lemonade to stop the yeast. just eat 2 tablespoons of raw coconut oil every 2 hours up to 14 tablesppons a day. drink 1 cup of lemon juice mixed with water and and sea salt. you can eat some sugarfree yoguert or a little coconut meat if you want. do this for 3 to 7 days

Not trying to sound like a smartass but go to the store and get some monistat or something similar. Yogurt can help to prevent it but it isn't going to help much after you already have the infection.

Eating a little serving of natural yogurt while you're on antibiotics will keep you from getting your natural bacteria killed off by the antibiotics most of the time. Look for "live culture" yogurt. Not the yoplait or such. You need the REAL live culture yogurt.

5000 iu of vitamin d daily for a while

Use candex and primal defense/soil based bacteria for a while to kill yeast and restore proper intestinal flora is what I found to work the best for me and has worked for others. This is reported to help system wide yeast infections too so if your prone to recurrent issues I would check these out.

Look into food-grade 35% H2O2 protocols ... then probiotics to rebuild the beneficial flora.

I used to get such severe yeast infections even repeated uses of monostat wouldn't get rid of. I found an awesome gyn who told me to get clear empty capsules, separate and fill with Boric acid powder that you get over the counter at a pharmacy. Make sure you check with your pharmacist that it's the safe strength to use vaginally. Put two or three up there and leave them. In one or two days ...they expel themselves and the infection is gone...and, they never came back!

Use COLLOIDAL SILVER instead of antibiotics, it;s natural & won't kill the goo bacteria only the bad!!!

Antibiotics can also cause CDIF. Nasty stuff. I try to NEVER take antibiotics. When I absolutely have to... I start the probiotics right away, along with eating lots of yogurt.

I've heard that if you end up with a vaginal yeast infection, just douche with yogurt. LOL REALLY !! I don't know HOW that would work ??????

If you mean in the female area, lol. Forget caneston cream - too expensive and slow. Apple cider vinegar - mixed with water ( i stress here NOT straight, lol ). Exact amount wont matter - but say 1/4 glass in luke warm water - wash with it and insert a tampon soaked in it. You would be fine up to half/half but try 1/4 first.

Should see practically immediate improvement and will never suffer a yeast infection again if you use this as soon as u feel one coming on ( will stop it in its tracks ).

It simply rebalances the acidity the antibiotics through out.

Oh if this is thrush you are talking about - will see immed improvement. It will rebalance ne ways but i am thinking you mean thrush so will cure it within a day generally if not within hrs.

are you sure it was the antibiotics? yeast infections can pop up for many reasons
