I think one has to keep in mind that NASA is a military organisation...
Quoting: RoXY Right, so they are taking directions as such also, not questioning higher authorities. And they know how to keep secrets secret. Yes, I see your point. These kind of devices (RHU's) have been used since the Pioneer and Voyager days. They have kept improving them over the years to make them not break up. Sending them into a gas giant happened for the first time in 1995...the first time that we know of... Those who talk (most often) do not know & those who know don't talk. The best way to keep secrets safe is the threat 'they' take out a whistleblower's family and loved ones first, before they get to him/her...
