Is There ANYONE That Remembers TET '68? Are We Reliving It???
Is there anyone in this audience that remembers the events of 1968, the political climate in this nation, and how the press delivered the news? I have an awful, visceral feeling our men and women overseas may be on the threshold of an event we do not have the resources to protect them from. Please pray for them. I certainly have...and will.

Pray to God that our Marines, soldiers, sailors, airmen, and even contractors, have every resource necessary to protect themselves and find their way HOME. There was never an end to the Crusades, and this barbaric CRAP that's come to fruition in recent years is 700 years in the making.

I remember, and I don't think so. For one thing, our troops have better equipment & training than those in 'Nam.

There are some interesting similarities though, and you may be right.

When I reflect on the number of times the government has left our guys in remote locations with their dicks in their hands (the Marines, in fact, in the Pacific in WW2 being likely the most well-documented example in recent, historical memory), I can't help but to have a miserable feeling in the understanding that no matter their training or their weapons, our people will, at some point, be SOL if there are too many fires burning at once in too many places. DARPA hasn't yet invented a magic wand.

And then, of course, there are the COUNTLESS number of places where we "don't have troops."

This is nothing like Tet. Unless you are praying for your sons and daughters, there is no reason for God to heed your hate filled prayers.

Hate-filled prayers??? You're kidding, right? When did praying for the welfare and safety of Americans beyond our borders become a matter of hate?

You mean the Tet Offensive, the disastrous military campaign for the NVA and the Viet Cong that got thousands of them slaughtered? I would very much welcome something like that for muzzies.

Don't believe everything you see on the TV. Back then or now.

I'm not concerned with our bases being caught off guard. But I AM concerned with well-organized attacks taking place simultaneously. And if I miscommunicated that, beyond all else, I certainly apologize.
