That's very odd for San Diego isn't it? Every time I've visited San Diego it's always been pleasant as far as temps go. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 6638540 I'm in San Diego and I have never experienced heat and humidity like this. I can understand maybe a few days of this but three months is crazy! Like I said earlier something is wrong, very wrong! Also have lived in San Diego my whole life. It's not unprecedented, but it's not common either. Remember Sept/Oct 1997? I don't see any doom relating to this weather, it just sucks. Supposed to go back to the 80s starting Sunday/Monday. |

Effusive eruption Quoting: [link to en.wikipedia.org] An effusive eruption is a volcanic eruption characterized by the outpouring of lava onto the ground (as opposed to the violent fragmentation of magma by explosive eruptions). ... Effusive eruptions occur when hot, (1200°C) runny magmas reach the surface of the Earth's crust. Dissolved gases escape easily as the magma erupts, forming lava that flows downhill quite quickly and easily. Pressure between plates, perhaps charecterized by certain earthquakes just might cause increased magma flow and increased magma flow just might cause an effusive eruption. An effusive eruption and a water supply just might stank up the air and make it muggy? You could be onto something. Post on GLP about possible volcano eruption 150 from San Diego. We have also had quite a few quakes in that area recently. Thread: Must see Volcano Eruption in LA, San Diego at Saltan Sea Possible!!!!! |

Thor's Hamster User ID: 11216955 United States 09/15/2012 03:58 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | True, the weather in southern California the last half of this summer has been peculiar. Not normal at all. The heat and especially the humidity. Generally the only time southern California gets humidity like this is when there's a hurricane swirling around down off Baja Californi, and some of the sub- tropical moisture will spin up into southern California. But no hurricanes off Baja now, yet high humidity. Very strange weather for coastal California. And yes, it's very rare for San Diego to break 100 degrees. Weird.
