Delete Benghazi Libya from the search window, and type the word EMBASSY or CONSULATE there. Because one does not exist in Benghazi, it will throw you to an alternative location near you.

Anyway, I couldn't find any official information about this consulate PRIOR to the attacks, so perhaps you're right of one way or another.
