How do we limit our exposure?..I've seen a few vids about radioactive rain so i guess that means all food has been contaminated. Pretty much fooked then....YAY...nothing on the news so everything must be fine.

Some pointers:
Hot house tomatoes are probably better than those grown outdoors.

Foods grown in the southern hemisphere are safer..and tend to be yummier anyway. But south american foods are seriously dropping in quality, so I'm not sure I would count those. They still have their own issues thanks to the BP/corexit mess. Eat that only if you want a brain haemorrhage eventually.

In the winter the jet stream lowers over the UK, this is the same stream that goes directly over Fukushima. Lucky for us it dumps mostly on the states, but limit outdoor time on cold days when that jetstream is blowing. Indoor sports are better than outdoor if you're worried about radiation exposure, especially since the lungs draw in more during exercise and are more likely to deeply lodge contaminated particulates. Wear scarves over your nose/mouth outside in the winter as an it's cold/fashion statement, but realise it actually reduces your lung particulate load.

Well water is better than surface water.

Mushrooms tend to attract radiation, none have set off our geiger counter at home, but as things get worse realise that mushrooms will be some of the most contaminated foods available.

Milk already triggers our geiger counter, not extremely, but enough to realise that maybe it's time to cut back.
Keep normal levels of potassium iodide/iodine in your bodies at all times through food or vitamin sources. Radioactive iodine will be absorbed by any body that is depleted in those nutrients. Find a non-contaminated source of calcium, kids need calcium...good luck on that one, most calcium sources seem to absorb radiation at higher levels.

Check your labels, don't buy foods from the most effected areas. Most groceries list what countries they were produced in. realise produced in and grown in are not always the same thing. Something could have 20 imported ingredients and still be produced in the UK because it was put together here. Personally, I would just avoid rice entirely.

Use your head. Do a little research. Find out what has worked and what hasn't for those affected by Chernobyl and still living in those areas. The research is out there.

Never believe what you hear on the internet, AT ALL. Without sources, and verification, something of this magnitude, would be covered on every page on the internet with the headline " Humanity is doomed in ten years". Continue living. If this is true, it is a grave situation. However humanity will not just die. We will try to, if the situation is this grave slow the progression. It is possible to slow something like this. Buying years, twenty to thirty to be exact, to solve the problem.

Oh and one more thing..the radiation levels here are usually at their lowest after a rain, probably because it washes the particulates out of the air.

One other thing lol...something alginate (sodium maybe?), I forget the full name. It's in the ingredients of a lot of processed foods in the frozen aisle, especially onion rings. It actually helps to detox the body of radiation to some extent, so while I don't usually say this...enjoy your processed foods.
