Letter to self at 16....

there's nothing you can do about anything

So you might question if this is really you only older and wiser. All I can say is you'll know. Things in High School are pretty amazing right now. I think it was the best time to be 16 in the 80's. Not quite Brady bunch- but not the deranged "South Park" existance of many teens nowadays. By the way thats a show thats popular now...vulger and gross.

Your Mom and Dad? You aren't going to have them long so just listen to every word. Treasure them and tell them how much you love them every day.

You've just started driving which is a huge stepping stone to growing up. Don't let a little accident (not your fault) change your trust of adults. Most of em are pretty good and honest. They don't ALL lie to cops.

College? GO! Go to Cali. Big step away from Fla but don't stay and go to UNC....too close you'll end up leaving to go home because you think you are in LOVE.

Speaking of love? You don't have any idea what that is till you are at least 25 or older. Don't sell yourself short for some guy. You are a beautiful, super smart person and you'll go far. You will own your own business and be the very best at what you do.

Be honorable, stay safe, don't party TOO much (but party enough to create the memories)

Stay away from the ski slopes you might break something...lol (oh yeah you don't know what that means... it means "Laugh Out Loud". This is a part of a new lingo used by people on the computer! YES.. it's not just those little TRS-80's from Radio Shack anymore.

Finally....Invest in GOOGLE while you can... you wont be sorry....don't forget... G-O-O-G-L-E!!!!

Your life is blessed now and will continue to be for many years. The world will change and not for the better. Enjoy it while you can.

Just know I think about you all the time, and I am glad you are who you are. It could be much worse.

Mayhaps... but you'd be surprised the insight you can get by dredging up these memories. It literally took me all this time to write my own letter because of the memories I brought up.
