You're not paying attention.

The Uigyers are a Muslim minority in the western Chinese province of Xinjiang. But they are Muslim populations WITHIN Russia and China; not separate countries. The U.S. has its nose everywhere, because we're trying to bring all the nations of the world into an over-arching framework for global governance and economy. The Islamic nations are the single biggest obstacle to achieving that goal. I'm not saying the U.S. is right or wrong. Just that that's what's happening.
