Reminds me the attack in Sri Lanka by the LTTE in 2007/2008 civil war.

Upto 40 jets and the most of the Airbase was distroyed in that raid and the tactics employed by the LTTE at that time was similar to what the Taliban did today.

It looks to me Taliban almost COPIED the attack on Sri Lankan airbase in 2008.

Lucky these Taliban didn't take control of the base. Hell of a job I should say to destroy that many jets in a single raid.
