Just heard a odd humming.

I've lurked around here a couple years and have only posted a few comments and one topic but I just experienced something that was really interesting and slightly odd.
Odd enough that I feel compelled to post about it here anyway.

I had just made myself a bowl of good ol Ramen and sat down to the computer after a successful and fun Sat night when my cat left his perch at the window and ran by me. I payed him no mind but dimly became aware of a strange oscillating humming sound that almost sounded like a purr.

As I became aware of the humm my first instinct was that it was my cat purring really loudly. I looked down to see if he was around me but he wasnt and I went as far to call for him but he was gone.

Now as I am realizing that it isn't the cat, the sound becomes louder and more distinct and I started to really focus on it. I listen to bass music and electronica so I've heard my fair share of lfo's and odd synth sounds. I can only describe the sound as a low frequency oscillating hum that was almost reminiscent of a cats purr but it became to loud and was a distinct pattern that repeated itself longer then a cat would.

It basically grew louder and louder untill a airplane passed overhead and as soon as I could no longer hear the airplane I realized that I could no longer hear the sound.

The only thing I can relate it to in my experience is something that I have heard and felt while on a special kind of fungus ;)



So.... tards, I ask you. Wtf was that.

I was thinking a new blimp that runs on swamp gas??? That or the "hum coming from the center of the universe".
