I grew up on codfish. I can't stand cod, but many love it. I guess they will have to start loving Asian carp, they are super prolific and are choking many rivers in the Mid west. :TOMABANEFOX: It's more humane this way ya know, or burn on totem pole. It is a very oily fish. I use to love cod tongues and fish & brewis. Cod's heads soup isn't too bad. As I said, we were weaned on the stuff. Asian carp sounds like crap. Hopefully someone can think of a way to keep codfish alive in fish farms. It's an expensive undertaking and you can have your stock wiped out by disease overnight. My uncle lost his shirt to such a venture and shortly after died of a drug overdose. |

Quoting: Ready2bugout AKA R2B BOB Now pass me the tartar sauce for the Fish and Chips with a proper pint I remember salting codfish on "wooded stages" with my grand parents. I also remember the fish plant where the cod fishermen brought in their catch. The odor from the fish plant could be smelt a mile away and that was when there was no wind. LoL Good times though for a kid who loved fishing. |
