You obviously have no idea about Asian history. I am a student of East Asian studies so I actually know what I am talking about.

I don't know where you get this idea since Japan has spent most of their time cowering on their island and their culture has always been heavily influenced by China. As the earlier poster said Japan got its arse kicked by China-Korea in the 16th century and only in the very late 19th century and early 20th century did Japan gain the upperhand against China.

DUDE!!!!! Seriously....

read some books.

Have you never heard of the Sino-Japanese Wars?

Japan has invaded China on multiple occasions.

China is a historically weak nation. The Chinese people do not care who is in power so they don't resist invasions. The Japanese on the other hand will fight to the last man as evidenced by the kamikazi pilots of WWII. Adolph Hitler allied himself with the Japanese because he considered the Japanese superior to all other Asian races just like he considered the Germans to be superior to all other White races.

To anyone who thinks that the Chinese are some sort of great warrior, ask yourself this, why is it that Macao and Hong Kong were both owned by foreign powers until a few years ago?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 18759426

In foreign run parts of China, there were signs that read, "No Chinese or Dogs." Does that sound like a proud people? Anyone who fears a Chinese invasion of any country is a fool. Now you want to talk about fierce Asian warriors, the mighty Mongols once conquered the great German people nearly a thousand years ago. I think that I would sooner worry about a Mexican military invasion of the US than the Chinese invasion of Japan.

china is also bullying Bhutan. They have already taken some mountains in the north and again they wanted to take huge amount of land from north of Bhutan. The us and world must help small and poor country, Bhutan has more monks than armies. I hope this will end peacefully. bump

And this is exactly why i foresee them making moves on Taiwan, NOT japan.

They will only strike if they 'know' they can win...

And they will only strike if we let them.. so if you see China attack, you know behind the scenes, a deal was cut. Most likely participation in central asia on our terms.

something like the 'non aggression pact' between Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union.

I don't believe we want to stay in central asia, and it doesn't seem like we can afford to, but leaving to deal with north africa and the rest of the middle east, while china gets to reinforce her eastern borders, and control in that region would be appealing and worth the heavy investment from China, and at first, working with the West and not in opposition.

What happens down the road after such an alliance is anyone's guess

Only since the 1900's. Historically Asia has been dominated by China, militarily as well as culturally. 40% of the Japanese language are written using Chinese characters, Zen Buddhism was founded in China and then exported to Japan and Chinese classics like the Three Kingdoms are as big in Japan as they are in China.

In the 1500's during the Imjin war, a war lasting 7 years, the Ming Dynasty of China drove out the Tokugawa Shogunate at the cost of widespread destruction in Korea. Total casualty rate was estimated at well over a million.

i DO realize i'm in the japan/china thread.. but you guys really should consider that all of this, including the Iran talk is a distraction.. and the more likely targets of aggression are in fact, Syria, and Taiwan (Taiwan not immediate.. but I do believe that is our goal in the middle east right now.. what else would explain the disapearance from the news of Syria??)

Japan wouldn't stand a snowball's chance in hell against China.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 23886147

Apparently you don't know your history. China has been historically dominated by Japan. The Japanese are to the Asian race what the Germans and English are to the White race. The Chinese are like the French, they give up at the first sign of trouble. Japan's technology is just as advanced as China's. However, the Japanese people don't just give up and will fight to the last man.

China vs Japan... two of the biggest trading powerhouses on earth.

Not even Ben Bernanke and JP Morgan Chase can save the global economy from this one!
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 23813214

they don't plan on saving it
they plan on blaming the collapse on something else so they don't take the blame
after they've robbed everyone blind

and this is all part of a larger script
this is pure ptb methodology
what are you watching?
riots in the middle east?
unhappy muslims?
worrying the middle east will fester into ww3?

and when people focus on one thing what happens?
something unexpected
like ww3 started by china/japan?
yet, they still get the end result they were looking for
just like with the economy and blaming war conditions
instead of the bankers
they can blame ww3 on someone else, too

distraction
then deflection
what's the left hand doing?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 23593671

not to mention that chinese people are experiencing hard economic times, too
a little bit of chinese government nationalistic propaganda and voila!
the chinese people can direct their anger at something besides their own government
naturally, japan

really, people, you need to start understanding how these people THINK, their actions on the surface are simply a circus
