*ALERT* Marietta, Georgia Area Ongoing Sky Rumbling Sound

Seriously no one? Its still there kind of hard to hear at times now that people are starting to head to work and traffic is getting heavier.

American friend, check the suntard threads. It has high chances of being some magnetosphere disturbance phenomenon caused by solar storms hitting our shell.

Its been going on around the world, I know cause i heard it myself.

I call the local police non emergency line.
They've heard it.
Either they will tell you what it is or brush you off, but at least it's recorded.

Alright I plugged in the headphones and the audio from the video I took on my phone is crystal clear. I'm gonna get a few hours of sleep but when I get up I'll pull the audio from the video and upload it so you guys can listen to it yourselves. I'm still not sure what it is after listening several times but there's always the possibility its Jets at Dobbins on the runway. Only problem with that theory is it sounded like it was coming from the east-se and Do bins is Southwest of my location. But thanks and I'll check out that suntard thread later.

We're hearing it here in east cobb this morning. It's staying pretty level sound wise and hasn't gotten really loud.

I work in Marietta and will let you know around 9am... You do realize there is an air force base there right?

Ive been awake in midtown all night, driving back up to Marietta in a few minutes, will let you know... But FYI there have been storms moving through all night... Might not have rained up there but it deff did down here in midtown.

I did hear some strange rumblings myself overnight but attributed it to the big ass red blob I saw on radar when i saw it was raining right after hearing it..

But yeah to be fair there is Dobbins right there... The C130s still fly up there, and it is an active port for incoming/outgoing troops and occasionally has late night flights.

You have one hell of a big storm headed your way, seriously might be a tornado

Radar is now clear of any storms or heavy rain. Calm down.

Okay OP, so which is it; I tried recording the sound but all I hear is these damn crickets.... Crickets, or a rumble

Oh I meant when I played it back over the phone's speaker all I could hear was crickets.
I brought in the Tomato plants as soon as I heard the noise/afterburner rumble so they should be fine in case anyone was wondering.
99% sure its Jets at Dobbins. It must suck to live close to the base when I live 10 miles away and its still about as loud as a airliner flying over.

Yes, constant rumbling like jets overhead. Have noticed it the past few days which prompted me to google it and found this site. Only notice at night. Like a person stated earlier, the jets are coming from SSE. The constant roaring I am not sure about. I am over in east cobb and never recall this kind of activity or noises

Glad I came back to my thread and maybe I'm not crazy afterall lol I am still able to hear it on some nights. Where in relation to Marietta do you live? I live near the Fulton/Cobb line; technically Roswell.

I'm hearing it tonight. It's kinda creeping me out. I grew up here, lived around Dobbins all my life. Grew up with the planes flying so lie it rattled the windows on the house. Never heard this news except for in the Tom Cruise movie "War of Worlds". Any ideas??

I found this old post. Live in Marietta and heck yes. The noises go on all night long...the whirring like a generator. The "angel trumpets". Figured it has to do with Lockheed Airforce Base here, also golf seeing odd things in daylight. Round balls in sky..more balls come out and the form arrow shape and zip off..testing maybe? Also the " jelly fish" things. Unnerving. Just remind yourself...it's just the Airforce testing and working. That's what I do.
