Both pages list pretty well the underlying reasons for why they are black. And I really don't see what the Mohammed standard has to do with the anarchistic movement of the 1880's. Also if your logic is sound then your theory should also stand fast in other examples, yet I don't see that the Netherlands runs Russia, Luxembourg, Croatia, Serbia and Slovenia because they all adopted flags extremely similar to that of the Netherlands. This is a very unusual color combination. The Jihadi white on black flag is only a decade old according to your link.
