I understand this idea, though. There's a vacancy in a lot of the western world now. The vacancy is in purpose. We have built such a society that our only purpose is to consume and commiserate. GLP is a perfect example of this and I am not saying I didn't come here for the same reason. Life needs purpose and we all long for it if we haven't found it. Purpose more than serving allah, jesus, or whatever your god is. We get to a point where we did everything right and we just want to know what's next. Or maybe we didn't do anything right and we wanna know why nothing works for us and what's next.

The desire for doom is a desire for something better outside our current structure of living. I have been on both sides, like many of us have been. Changes, especially the ones you can't control are exciting! It seems the western way of life needs a challenge. We need something that will solidify us and give us a reason to fight for....something.

There is a lot out there to be gained. Let's hope that our desires as a whole aren't all stupid and self serving.
