And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:

you miss the entire point. these are New Testament scriptures. Jesus has already lived and fulfilled the law. keep them in the context that they should be.

The Wicked One, Lawless One, Man of sin is the one against JESUS, not the Torah.
 Quoting: Salt

aaahhhhhhhhhhh, therein lies our problem.

Jesus IS the torah, so if the man of sin is against Jesus, he is also by default against The Word.

And, fulfilled doesn't mean "end" it means He fulfilled it, he DID it, he did it completely and perfectly. And He taught US how to do it as well. So if we follow Him, we follow His loving instructions.

What ARE his loving instructions?
 Quoting: Shamar

His loving instructions are to recognize Jesus as the son of God and since... “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” (John 4:24)

I think it is far, far more than that.

Jesus is the Torah and much more. that's my point.

No, I am not a *j-ew*......That's is a recent term given to a people who are not even members of the 12 tribes.

I am an Israelite.

So, what are the loving instructions of the Messiah? What Words of His Father did He teach that we are to follow, if we love Him?

Anyway, guess we are completely now off topic of the timing of the restrainer.....lol!

Re: 46 Prophecies the AntiChrist will fulfill
2 Thess: For the Day will not come until after the Apostasy has come and the man who separates himself from Torah has been revealed, the one destined for doom. 4 He will oppose himself to everything that people call a god or make an object of worship; he will put himself above them all, so that he will sit in the Temple of God and proclaim that he himself is God.[a]

5 Don’t you remember that when I was still with you, I used to tell you these things? 6 And now you know what is restraining, so that he may be revealed in his own time. 7 For already this separating from Torah is at work secretly, but it will be secretly only until he who is restraining is out of the way. 8 Then the one who embodies separation from Torah will be revealed, the one whom the Lord Yeshua will slay with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the glory of his coming.
9 When this man who avoids Torah comes, the Adversary will give him the power to work all kinds of false miracles, signs and wonders. 10 He will enable him to deceive, in all kinds of wicked ways, those who are headed for destruction because they would not receive the love of the truth that could have saved them. 11 This is why God is causing them to go astray, so that they will believe the Lie. 12 The result will be that all who have not believed the truth, but have taken their pleasure in wickedness, will be condemned.(complete jewish bible translation)

The red phrase refers to Isaiah 11:

he will be inspired by fearing Adonai.
He will not judge by what his eyes see
or decide by what his ears hear,
4 but he will judge the impoverished justly;
he will decide fairly for the humble of the land.
He will strike the land with a rod from his mouth
and slay the wicked with a breath from his lips.
5 Justice will be the belt around his waist,
faithfulness the sash around his hips.

The green part refers back to John 12:40 and Romans 1:24-28.

The rest of these verses refer back to Daniel 36:39.

36 “The king will do as he pleases. He will exalt himself and consider himself greater than any god, and he will utter monstrous blasphemies against the God of gods. He will prosper only until the period of wrath is over, for what has been determined must take place. 37 He will show no respect for the gods his ancestors worshipped, or for the god women worship — he won’t show respect for any god, because he will consider himself greater than all of them. 38 But instead, he will honor the god of strongholds; with gold, silver, precious stones and other costly things he will honor a god unknown to his ancestors. 39 He will deal with the strongest fortresses with the help of a foreign god. He will confer honor on those he acknowledges, causing them to rule over many and distributing land as a reward.

BUT

what I was looking at, was the timing of these things. It seems that culmination of events occurs at once one major event occurs:

Daniel 12:1 - When that time comes, Mikha’el, the great prince who champions your people, will stand up; and there will be a time of distress unparalleled between the time they became a nation and that moment. At that time, your people will be delivered, everyone whose name is found written in the book. 2 Many of those sleeping in the dust of the earth will awaken, some to everlasting life and some to everlasting shame and abhorrence. 3 But those who can discern will shine like the brightness of heaven’s dome, and those who turn many to righteousness like the stars forever and ever.

These are the people who "flee to the mountains" ... These are the ones spoken of here in Micah: “I will assemble all of you, Ya‘akov; I will gather the remnant of Isra’el, I will put them together like sheep in a pen, like a herd in its pasture — it will hum with the sounds of people.”

And here, in Jeremiah: Jer (YirmeYahu) 23:3-8: “Therefore I shall gather the remnant of My flock out of all the lands where I have driven them, and shall bring them back to their fold. And they shall bear and increase.

And I shall raise up shepherds over them, and they shall feed them. And they shall fear no more, nor be discouraged, nor shall they be lacking, declares Yahuah.

See, the days are coming,” declares Yahuah, “when I shall raise for Da’uḏa Branch of righteousness, and a Sovereign shall reign and act wisely, and shall do right-ruling and righteousness in the earth

In His days Yahudah shall be saved, and Yisrael dwell safely. And this is His Name whereby He shall be called: 'Yahuah is our Righteousness.’ (Transliterated in Hebrew: Yahuah Tsediqenu; this is Yahusha's "new Name")

Therefore, see, the days are coming,” declares Yahuah, “when they shall say no more, ‘As Yahuah lives who brought up the children of Yisrael out of the land of Mitsrayim,’

but, ‘As Yahuah lives who brought up and led the seed of the house of Yisrael out of the land of the north and from all the lands where I had driven them.’ And they shall dwell on their own soil.”

SO:

The judgment of the the regathering of His people, (Israel and those gentiles grafted into Israel, the waking of the dead to glory or shame, and the transitioning of those who are alive while this happens, all happen pretty much at the same time, and it does appear that Michael, the principality of His elect, is the restrainer of the revealing of the man of sin. However, I would say, not in his own timing, but the timing of the Most High. And, it looks to me (still) that the timing of all of this is just prior to the events fulfilled in the 7th seal.
 Quoting: Shamar

WOW. Never saw the restraining part til now. Thanks, Shamar!
God bless y'all.

1. The antichrist will be a man - Daniel 7:24-25
 Quoting: Salt

The Bible doesn't say the "little horn" is a man, but rather that it would have "eyes like the eyes of a man" (Daniel 7:8). When Paul used the expression, "the man of sin," in 2 Thessalonians 2:3, he was simply referring to the "little horn" with its "eyes like the eyes of a man." Yet that same horn is called a "beast" in Revelation 13:1, and the Bible clearly tells us that a beast represents a great kingdom (Daniel 7:23).

Re: 46 Prophecies the AntiChrist will fulfill
What nine characteristics help us to identify the little horn power?

1. Location: out of the 4th beast and among the ten horns (v.8)

2. Timing: after the ten were established (v.8)

3. Uprooted three of the ten horns (v.8)

4. Eyes and mouth of a man (v.8)

5. Persecutes the saints (v.21, 25)

6. Different from the other ten horns (v.24)

7. Speak out against God (v.8, 11, 20, 25)

8. Little Horn attempts to change God’s times and laws (v.25)

9. Have power for a time, times, and half a time (or 1260 days) (v.25)

All fulfilled by Holy Rome after the fall of Pagan Rome.

Re. the abomination of desolation:

It will not be a holograph......as many people even now understand that this can be made by humans.

No.....supernatural events will be taking place at the end........so that the false prophet (probably the pope).....will himself be able to bring fire down from heaven.

The fire is not man-made......as it says that he was granted this power......it is supernatural in nature.

The abomination will not be some man-made holograph.

The statue of the man of evil is placed there, set up, and seen standing in the holy place.

Then......supernatural power is granted to give BREATH to the image.........i.e. so that it comes alive.

Definitely not man made.

He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak AND

AND.....AND.....AND

"cause as many as would not worship the image to be killed."

This statue can talk........and also kill you.

Not a mere man-made picture.

Re: 46 Prophecies the AntiChrist will fulfill
The reason so many people will follow the final man of evil will also be because a supernatural event is tied to him, namely, he will be a well know person from the past come back to life

or a current leader killed......who comes back to life.

The final 3.5 years will be full of events which people have never seen before.......supernatural in nature.

And yes.....the restrainer is Michael the archangel.....the one who stands guard over Israel. See Daniel Chp 12. In the end, he will stand up (stand still).....and no longer provide protection.

The man of evil will then attempt to extinguish Israel.....but God will protect a remnant supernaturally in the wilderness. (Rev 12)

God will defend His Holy Name, Word, and Promise made to Abraham for his act of faith and obedience. (Gen 22)

Satan will then go after the "offspring"......the Gentile Christians who have been grafted into the natural branch.

Well, that is good! christianity has a lot of things that ARE right. But, I was hoping for an answer as to what the commands are. Some say the 10 words, or the ten commandments mentioned in Exodus. Others believe there is more. Still others believe there are less.

So how do we know?

But i still disagree that all is finished -- there is still much to happen!

Jesus said: 18 Yes indeed! I tell you that until heaven and earth pass away, not so much as a yud or a stroke will pass from the Torah — not until everything that must happen has happened.

If it was finished when He died, then why the importance that He rose? Shouldn't he have said it is finished as He ascended to the Father? No, it's not finished yet. we are still living in a shadow of things to come. Hebrews 8:13 13 By using the term, “new,” he has made the first covenant “old”; and something being made old, something in the process of aging, is on its way to vanishing altogether.

Old here, meaning a shadow.

we are under grace. period end of sentence.

there is no atoning for our own sin. it is finished.

Re: 46 Prophecies the AntiChrist will fulfill
people seem to really struggle with the simplicity and the beauty of living under grace. usually people who are still living under the legalism from the pharisees under the old law.

we are under grace. period end of sentence.

there is no atoning for our own sin. it is finished.

scripture please? And if you don't mind....words other than Paul. Because if you ONLY rely on Paul, you are dismissing the red letter words.

Paul is a pivotal piece to the foundation of the early church.
there is no one scripture that encapsulates the essence. it is the entire book from cover to cover that brings this understanding. it starts in genesis...

So Paul's words trump the Messiah's?

I have an understanding of Genesis through Revelations, although it seems that christians have a different understanding.

Let me ask you this.

Did Jesus come to negate the words and commands of his father? did he change the rules? Did he create or call a different people?

Does God (the Father) change? or does he just change his mind? Or does he just change the rules as he goes along through humanity?

you got a stranglehold on the Torah but negate the entire reason for Christ coming here and doing what He did.

Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.

Most reading here don't know, and don't care, what His name is.

You can all bow out........but, the days are coming soon, when this will all come back to you......

God is NOT his name. Jesus is NOT his name, though He knows our hearts.

Pay attention to the red letter words...........not so much to Paul's, but the Messiah's words. Love is key.......following His commands comes next.
