Honestly, the whole doctrine doesn't fit the overall story of Scripture and purposes of God. But that's just my opinion... probably no better than the study's author.

There are more major Anti-Christ figures than even I can count by my magic wall. All the ones prophesied are clearly indicated, but there's a fair few never mentioned in any scripture.

Well, I can try.

The pre-trib position is based on the emphasis of "going to heaven when we die," which is not really mentioned a whole lot in scripture. Scripture's emphasis is on resurrection.

Jesus will return, but He will return to the earth to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords, to renew, restore, and redeem all of creation, not to "snatch" humans away from it. The period of restoral is believed to be a thousand years, and we who are Christians will be co-workers with him in that work. Of course, there will be those on the earth who were not believers at His return, and they will continue on with life, having kids, eventually dying, etc.

After the thousand years are over, everyone else who has ever lived will be resurrected and will wake up to a beautiful, perfect world and perhaps for the first time see God for who He really is. I imagine that will be sufficient reason to soften the hearts of the vast majority.

Those with hearts still hard will be purified.

Rev 21 speaks of "new heaven, new earth, where heaven and earth again co-incide, and everything is sinless and perfect.

Any kind of rapture to heaven negates this process, though I know there are some who believe in the third coming of Christ.
