His loving instructions are to recognize Jesus as the son of God and since... “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” (John 4:24) Is that it? Is that all He wants or expects from His people? Just recognize Jesus as the Son of God? I think it is far, far more than that. When Jesus came, He came teaching that the Kingdom of God was at hand. If you are going to be a priest and a member of a holy nation, what are you going to do as a priest and member of His Kingdom? yes, Shamar, it is that simple. We are to believe, and to keep the commandments, but the most important commandment is to love. when we do this, we are priests and saints. the law has been fulfilled. it is finished. let go of your legalism. What legalism do you speak of? It is not yet finished, all has not been fulfilled? Heaven and earth are still here, right? And what commandments do you keep? And what does "Keep" even mean? Just questions I throw out to try to get people to think. and to not run with what we have all been taught all our lives. it IS finished. everything happening now is just the tumbling down to the final act. but, do not think for one second that it is not finished. When Jesus died on the cross, he said "it is FINISHED/ACCOMPLISHED" the only thing left to do is live as an example of Christ because the believers are the church, and to love your neighbor as yourself, all day, every day. i keep (am obedient) to all of the commandments. and when i fail at something, i repent, ask forgiveness and confess. |

Well, that is good! christianity has a lot of things that ARE right. But, I was hoping for an answer as to what the commands are. Some say the 10 words, or the ten commandments mentioned in Exodus. Others believe there is more. Still others believe there are less. So how do we know? But i still disagree that all is finished -- there is still much to happen! Jesus said: 18 Yes indeed! I tell you that until heaven and earth pass away, not so much as a yud or a stroke will pass from the Torah — not until everything that must happen has happened. If it was finished when He died, then why the importance that He rose? Shouldn't he have said it is finished as He ascended to the Father? No, it's not finished yet. we are still living in a shadow of things to come. Hebrews 8:13 13 By using the term, “new,” he has made the first covenant “old”; and something being made old, something in the process of aging, is on its way to vanishing altogether. Old here, meaning a shadow. Love is like light. It is never constrained to its source; it shines on everything and tends to spread spontaneously, unless we block it! ~ Cosmic Swami |

Ophelimity User ID: 11447823 United States 09/30/2012 09:43 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Look in the mirror you will see the beast. His number is 666. Why would the Greeks insert such a number? The number 9 symbolically in the Mystical bible refers to the MIND of man. Man either functions from his lower mind or higher mind. Man in his lower mind is represented as an animal. Mankind functioning from the higher mind is attuned with the divine mind. 6+6+6=18 add the digits of 1+8=9... 9 is the mind of man mystically in the bible. Your are the beast when your functioning in the lower mind acting carnally. Remember the new Jerusalem. It's dimensions are 144,000. That represents the higher mind. Those that are saved from being the beast. They have a renewed mind as illustrated by the apostle Paul. 144=1+4+4=9....or the higher mind in this case. The entire bible is about you. And how to gain access to the higher mind. Of course no one will accept this as the apostle Paul states, because when you read the bible literally you miss the SPIRITUAL truth because one is stuck in the lower mind trying to figure out when the world will end and who the Antichrist is.... The bible is myth. That does not mean its not true. Not true literally :) the entire bible happens to you when you are ready to PASSOVER to the right side and dwell in the garden of eden. And where was the garden of Eden located?? And for those that still doubt this. Read John 21. Where Jesus instructed the disciples to cast there nets to the RIGHT side of the boat. How many fish did they catch? Why did the bible make a point to say 153 fish caught? Do the math and read above..... Peace. Do the math on 153 and read above.... Peace. |
