Now had the fatwa been issued because of the horrendous acting, I may have supported it.

Do they realize most Americans would never even have heard of this movie let alone seen it (and most won't even watch it because it sounds stupid) if they hadn't pitched a fit?

If they are being told that we are watching this movie in droves, they are being told the wrong thing. Hasn't this thing been free on youtube for a year? And no one ever heard of it until a few days ago. At this point people are ONLY watching it to see what they are upset about. But, I am not planning on watching it because it continues to sound stupid.

Why don't they make a nice movie for people to watch instead? That might promote a peaceful understanding between people and there would be no need to kill anyone.

Plus, it is being reported over there that Americans are packing themselves into the theaters to see this...this...um...thing. It isn't even showing in a theater in the US. IF it were, I would pay for the popcorn, but not the movie. Doubt I'd stay! I'd take my popcorn to the lake and hang out with the geese!

Well, of course not. I'm just saying no one was even paying attention to it. Some of the people working on it may not have even known what it was really about since I have heard the original lines were overdubbed in places.

But, I haven't seen it. I am glad to know the thing isn't even 15 minutes long. Do they realize it costs $10 to see a movie in the U.S.? We are not going to see a movie that is 1. Stupid and 2. Only 13 minutes long. It is not happening.
