So, understandably there are many on this site today who are upset about Romney's gaffe. But the fact is, that this gaffe wasn't his fault at all, it was yours. During the primary process, Romney was forced to move too far to the right to secure the nomination. Which completely negated the strength of having Romney as a candidate, that he was perceived as a moderate. By forcing him into the position of saying things that would alienate him with moderate and independent voters, what happened yesterday was inevitable, if it wasnt the 47% statement it would have been something else. Some person was going to catch it, and the Democrats would put it back and save it for later.

So, after this election is over, after your fire is gone and you realize that Obama, the president you hate has been re-elected. Dont point your finger at the Romney campaign, they were only pandering to you ultra religious, uber conservative nut jobs. Dont point your finger at the media either. Go take a long look in the mirror and realize, that by forcing Romney to cater to you and your beliefs, constantly fighting to keep his "base". You denied him the opportunity to expand his base, and win over moderates and "Reagan" democrats.

In the end, this will truly be your loss. It will be the end of what Nixon called the "silent majority", and in my opinion it didnt come soon enough. Oh, how I am going to enjoy seeing the conservative christian right, react to not being the most powerful voting block. I wonder, will you begin to behave like the "muzzies" you so despise? When you realize that you have lost the battle on these retarded third rail issues like abortion or gay marriage.

Will there be an increase in bombings at abortion clinics? Will your heads explode, because public schools teach accepted science instead of creation myth? Will your skin crawl that the vast majority of the populace is more accepting of everyone's race, religion, or sexual preference? Will there be public rainbow flag burning?

There's not much Republicans can say.

Most are either still in denial or have moved into anger.

As long as this helps moderate the debate, it's great. But it looks like there will be a huge power struggle that's already been started by Limbaugh and Ingraham and their kind -- claiming that the real reason they lost was because a "true" conservative wasn't nominated.

If they go that route and move even farther right then they will be irrelevant in a few more cycles.

Im looking kinda prophetic today. No reaction?
