Re: Convergence to Greater Simplicity
...

I(t) all starts with a single word.

The first cross. The first crossroads. Thought is what keeps us suspended. Action is what frees us.

Syd Barrett to Duggie Fields: I can lie in this bed and be anything or I can get up and possibly be that I don't want to be.

Me: How about we don't have any expectations and see what happens.
 Quoting: Dionysian Fullaflattus

I can't tell if you are wanting me to do it, or if you are just generalizing. You are going to tell me it doesn't really matter which.
 Quoting: Swinging on Spirals

LOL, You are absolutely correct.

You take care of all your responsibilities and you can be as mad or sane as you like.

People often forget what adult means and feel some guilt about being different.

Difference has somehow become a Sin.

As the old saying goes: Fuck 'em if they can't take a joke.
 Quoting: Dionysian Fullaflattus

WHOA!!! I LOVE that!

I SECOND THAT!!!
The engravings translate to "This space intentionally left blank."

The prayer is inscribed in an ancient script, rarely used today. It seems to be a philippic against small insects, absent-mindedness, and the picking up and dropping of small objects.

The gate is open; through it you can see a desolation, with a pile of mangled bodies in one corner. Thousands of voices, lamenting some hideous fate, can be heard.
The way through the gate is barred by evil spirits, who jeer at your attempts to pass.

No, I'm talking about the general hesitancy to express ourselves and the subsequent homogenizing or amelioration of our thought patterns to those deemed 'acceptable'.

If no creatures are harmed or exploited in the Ideological coitus, who is to voice dissent and on what merit?
 Quoting: Dionysian Fullaflattus

And who is to voice convergence and harmony?

The merit of dissent stands on its own. Individuality is expressed through the harmony of dissent.

Interesting...has any one else noticed the effects of these purely textual conversations happening on this forum...and how they don't seem to be so purely textual?

How about how these barely conscious beings walking around while texting. Running into things. Driving while texting. Running into things.

Yet...here we sit...only focused on how to properly construct our sentences to carry the weight of layers upon layers of ideas.

English is a fascinating language. Many different meanings to words...many different words with the same meanings.

Thus, sentence construction, phonetic rhythm, and the precise choosing of words carry more than just our ideas. They carry every possible interpretation of our ideas.

Just a rambling thought...much like the OP.

Great read OP!

Funny thing bout the cracks in the walls.. I had a dream a week or so ago, seeing walls around the world, or more like a big wall/shield of illusion, showing cracks, and was told to send energy into those.
Funny thing that, I cant even say in words what the purpose would be, something like, the wall of illusion replaced by a shield of transparency and opportunity.. hard to explain.

Here is an example of some of my dreams. I have torn down many, many walls in my altered dream state.

January 11, 2012

Had a long night last night. Both good and bad. A ton of soul searching. Playing out many variances of situations while lucid. Nearly the entire night was 100% lucid.

Had dissected what it meant to 'see' different factions or groups, and what types of morality constituted their actions. Very, very difficult to explain properly. Basically, it came down to what I morally agree with, and what I don't agree with. Doing so can get very 'uncomfortable' as the scenarios are 100% lifelike...and they would be view as nightmarish, I suppose, to most everyone else.

So, there were aspects that I didn't agree with, and I tore it all down around me. The entire scenario...walls built around me, buildings containing constructs I didn't agree with, etc. I created pulses that came out as waves of force and crumbled the walls and buildings into dust. Over and over...starting as a pulse of force that would create cracks in the walls, to stronger pulses at the base that would tear it all down around me.

Then, they were ones that I agreed with, one in the shape of a small white tree that 'they' couldn't grow beyond the size of small child. I grew it into a vast white presence that overshadowed another building I disagreed with.

Some got mad at me. They were in my presence as medieval royalty. They tried to stop me. They couldn't effect me. I completely ignored them.

I feel cleansed.

I like trees. The first time I tripped out on shrooms I found myself outside in the yard having a conversation with one. This was just after I closely examined every single routine that I had to maintain in order to sustain the momentum of my ordinary life. My island of tonal was a complete mess at the time. I just laid there on the floor examining one by one every item and object that I had some sort of attachment to. It disturbed me.

Then I decided to go outside and talk to a tree. The tree didn't talk much as far as I can recall. That was refreshing.

Dissent is a tool of bureaucracies to make them feel valid and representative of a 'majority'. I figure if you engage them you will just become a tool or enabler.

Individuality is expressed by paying no mind in what the other guy is doing. Makes for great partnerships since any merger is a true confluence of wants rather than a hierarchal parity.

I agree. But we are more than just instruments to be used. We are bubbles of energy.

Once there was an idea that was expressed in a gathering of brilliant men. They wrote a declaration of independence. In this declaration they expressed their intent to be free of the shackles of tyrannical government.

Then they went and fucked everything up by making their own. It was well designed. They were mason's after all. However, the separation of powers, like any building they ever constructed, eroded by the winds of time and change.

Today we have come full circle. Where are the brilliant men of this age?

Will our declaration be merely a social one? This will not due. It will not stand the test of time.

Our declaration needs to be more than just a statement on the proper social structure balancing the order of the law and the freedom of the individual.

Our declaration needs to balance the spirit of the individual with the order of reason.

We must be more than 'enlightened' masons.

Re: Convergence to Greater Simplicity
Coming changes will not be a singular 'thing'. It will not be one over-riding ideology or formula that makes up the greater simplicity. It will be a scalar effect, that once understood can be placed in context to universal reality that will resonate across the compartmentalized ideals and will be accessed to cross pollinate, from the ground up, a new understanding of how the material functions. This comes about from the integration of understanding the non-material, understanding the material, and understanding the bridge between the two. At that understanding, philosophies/sciences/religions can begin to equate the divine presence in a realistic way within the material constructs that the new paradigms will reveal. Perception of the connected and scalar nature of reality will be made manifest within the human experience.

As we have discussed, a distillation of knowledge in respective fields will occur, and with that a reconciliation of dogma - no matter its association - will begin pervading consciousness. At that point, it will be sink or swim.

New understandings could succeed in doing all this, depending on how hard it is to tear down the walls of our presently existing outdated paradigms. We are seeing vast cracks within these massive walls, but the pressure must be consistent, and the cracks must be wedged and levered ever more.

We live in the most extraordinary of eras. The changes that are coming will not be small, isolated changes, but rather one's that are resounding and vast enough to permanently change the human condition. But, it is all extremely complex, and to see specific outcomes of what this entails is very difficult, if possible at all, especially if all the various motives stay in play until some grand convergence lays its massive form across all humans and our world as a collective.

Just rambling my thoughts here.

 Quoting: Jonny Blaze

Dissent is a tool of bureaucracies to make them feel valid and representative of a 'majority'. I figure if you engage them you will just become a tool or enabler.

Individuality is expressed by paying no mind in what the other guy is doing. Makes for great partnerships since any merger is a true confluence of wants rather than a hierarchal parity.
 Quoting: Dionysian Fullaflattus

Separation of powers and diligence in watchfulness has always been the responsibility of every man.

Hard lessons only last several generations and they become myth attributed to superstitious elders.

Leisure creates the need for more leisure and lessons put off that no cramming will muster the test.

Predators run amok for a time and then turn on one another.
