Ice melt in the north and south pole could be caused by oceanic gyres rather than "global warming"
It is my opinion that the ice melt in the arctic and maybe in the south pole is caused by shifting oceanic currents rather than surface air warming.

This in turn could be caused by the magnetic pole migration that most of us know about.

I posted a few links showing data and images like the magnetic pole migration ect.

But i don't have enough internet acces time for a torough search in the matter.

Anyway for those who can find articles about the transpolar drift and oceanic gyres near the poles please feel free to post them.

Here is a video with a possible explanation of the ice melt in the north pole.

It shows the cyclone activity over there.




By the way the ice cover in the south is actually at it's highest so the title of the thread isn't 100% correct.

It was only the northern ice sheet that had receded.
