When a piece of rubbish, such as "Piss Christ" appeared in 1989, it made many Christians very angry. However they did not call for the "artist's" death. See the difference here? I was very furious when they went after Salman Rushdi or islamic terrorists (Hezbollah most probably) murdered tens of secular writers, philosophers for criticizing Islam in 90's in Turkey (one of those writers was an ex-imam). But what we're seeing now is pure provocation by TPTB.

And no i don't belong to any of these religions (allthough i was born and raised as a secular modern muslim in Turkey) and i criticize all these religions including mostly Islam on various platforms. But insulting is another thing, and there's thing called external consideration for every soul who aims to grow up to learn.

This "fear" of the fact that "people will die because of this cartoon-statement- film whatsoever" is the core of the problem. Civil rights like freedom of speech and expression are there to make that fear illegal.

But as there are people that put religion above the law of society, and go putting warrants on people´s heads and go killing without trial the ones who are not sided with their beliefs, this is in fact the real problem.

Following the logic of avoiding freedom of expression to take place, out of "fear of violence and murder", Europe would have never been liberated from fascism, there would have been no armed resistance, and there would have never been a French revolution or an Renaissance because of the fear from SS and concentration camps, fear of the French dicatorial monarchy or fear for the Inquisition.

Hell , even the USA would have never seen the light if people were only led by fear for the murder and rampage British imperialist armies.

The real reason for the uprisings is economical.
