This moshiach won't come forth til he has went through the furnace of affliction, just as Jesus asked james and john if they could drink from the same cup he drank and be baptised with the same baptism he did, when they asked if they could sit on his left and right in the kingdom. This moshiach will sit on Jesus' right but not before he goes through the furnace of affliction. That furnace happens when America is destroyed and the people are taken into captivity into other countries as slaves. The purpose of this is to get the lost 10 tribes back over to the holy land that both houses jew and christian can come back together as one and Israel no longer is divided. Messiah ben joseph(the elijah type) comes first and plays the part of John the baptist introducing Jesus and making straight the way. Ben joseph is killed and lies in the street many days and then Messiah ben David comes and raises him from the dead. The jewish people will then recognize ben David. Ben David will teach righteousness and explain hidden secrets. This messiah ben Joseph and messiah ben David are the ones who will sit on the right and left of Jesus in the kingdom. Jesus' purpose was to bring the lost sheep (the lost 10 tribes) back into the fold through faith in what Jesus did on the cross for the forgiveness of sin. The purpose of Ben Joseph and Ben David or as some would call them "the two witnesses" is to bring those two houses jew and christian back as one house again.
