Indeed one feels bound by something (soul) - yet the other is pure freedom ...essence...(spirit).. like a force which permeates everything...a force which deeply craves expression. It's the most wonderful link that is the only thing i know we truly ever are..beyond this mind, body, this life, this earth and beyond...indeed eternal before all creation , throughout and ever-lasting.
