My private HSA insurance runs about $7000 a year for the wife and myself, but it is a high deductable plan ($2875 for each of us, $5750 combined) with no co-pays. We are lucky to be healthy at 50 and only need to be covered in case of something major. I can't imagine the hit those like the OP will take when you figure in a bunch of dependants.

Once the dupes figure out Obamacare is not free and they lose their current insurance there will be hell to pay.
