We didn't get national health care, we got something not beginning to come close, that in effect REDUCES our healthcare and charges us way more. I do suppose this is for those who actually work. So whats happened is the Rich have found an avenue through the democrats to reduce THEIR burden on healthcare while transferring it to us the middle class while increasing profits to the healthcare industry (the same Rich previously mentioned) Thats whats happened. Just fucking great. Think the Dems and Rebubs are any different? You must be a Moron! Frater PS Vote Gary Johnson in protest or don't even bother. LVX! |

NEVER A TAX BREAK FOR HAVING INSURANCE FOR YOUR COMPANY. CAN STILL WRITE OFF INSURANCE FOR YOUR EMPLOYEES JUST LIKE YOU ALWAYS COULD. this post is retarded Quoting: Anonymous Coward 20946188 In case you didn't know, this post is about the effects of this healthcare scheme is effecting the OP. And the healthcare scheme fundamentally changes the healthcare system in this country. It fundamentally changes patient and doctor relations. Insurance from any company is a luxury Obamacare does not change healthcare or how a company spends money for coverage. It ONLY effect's company's that do not have insurance for their employees. There was NEVER a Tax, Fee, or penalty Prior to Obamacare the only reason his company would be dropping insurance is because they can no longer afford it year long. It is something that you can get a tax write off for which makes it free to the business at the end of the year. What it tells me is OP's company is already afraid it will not make it that long. "Obamacare does not change healthcare" WTF are you smoking? If Obamacare (Obama Tax) didn't change healthcare, everyone would be for it! Free healthcare at state of the art health centers with the best doctors and little wait! Who wouldn't want that? Doctors would even want that because they'd still be getting paid THEIR FAIR SHARE. But it DOES change it and the methods used to require or be penalized is just plane scummy! |

I watched senate debate late nights at time of health reform. Democrats and Republicans both are crooks. I was confused if Obama did something good for the middle class, but they all serve the Industrialist. They give a fuck about the middle class. I am retired Engineer from one of the big Auto and I am telling you when you can no longer able to work and see your family hurting, it will be hard to swallow. They all hide their profits with different schemes and make you believe that they are penny less. I want to say a lot and I would have given you proof. For example in 2009 GM filed for Bankruptcy here in USA but according to their internal Financial report they had 66 billion profits in china. There is no reason for them to throw their retirees under the bus or to cut the Medical Insurance of their families. They did it in ways that they were saving money. The present fight of shifting the Pension. GM is saving $ 26 Billion. What they did with Delphi, or other GM subsidiaries is the same. It's a pretty good plan as health insurance plans go, I have heard of worse for sure. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1461956 My cost right now is $370 per month to cover myself and my entire family (split over two checks at $185 per check). The company-paid part of our insurance cost the company $15,500 per year, per employee (somewhat less for individuals only but not by much). I am friends with the HR person as XYZ Corp (not the real name obviously) and this person told me that the company is seriously considering taking the $2000 per employee tax hit for not offering coverage, thereby forcing all of us into the government plan. In their words - "Yeah, this would suck and the coverage would not be nearly as good, but the company would save over $10,000 per employee." My company has 86 employees. That's $860,000 per year the company would save by forcing us into Obamacare. Many of us employees have talked about this and even considered walking off the job to at least demand most of the savings back in the form of an increase in pay (since it costs the company XX dollars to employ each of us already) but with the economy as bad as it is, it's risky. Mind you most of us are highly skilled and qualified and the company would take a huge productivity hit if we walked - but then again, saving $860,000 per year - maybe they could absorb it. I firmly believe that Obamacare, and the current economic situation, are playing hand-in-hand intentionally. Why did the Dems/Liberals pass Obamacare? Right now, if they yank that bennie out from under you, they are saving $15,500 year per employee. They are not currently under any obligation to provide you with any coverage except to keep you around. If they were going to screw you, why would they wait until there is a $2,00 per employee penalty when they could have been doing it all along? Not sure if serious..... The penalty didn't even exist until Obamacare. Surely you knew that...... Obamacare now says by law you don't have to insure people but pay a penalty instead. Before, insurance was tax deductible, and employees got the benefit 100% tax free. Now, it's a tax, and it's cheaper to pay the penalty. My employer used to take care of 100% but when ObamaCare took over the rates my company was paying went up dramatically. The company used to pay $12000/yr for my wife and me but under OBC the rates went to $18000/yr. Quoting: morcomanifes This rate increase was planned under OBC because it made allowance for insurance providers to raise the rates up to 40% until 2014 after which they would be forced to reduce the rates to an acceptable level. The reasoning behind a 40% rate hike for 3 years is to force companies who provide a Platinum level of coverage for their employees to leverage them to reduce the level of coverage to a more modest amount. This fits in nicely with the premise of OBC; which is to provide mediocre coverage for all people and ensure that no one is getting elite level coverage without paying thru the nose for it. Except for Congressmen & Senators Well Well Well page 107 of the health care bill,If your a muzzzi you don't have to pay for it and there is no penalty for not getting it Quoting: Anonymous Coward 15237539 I posted a long time ago this is what companies were going to do. Quoting: FatalW1shes The fine for AT&T would have amounted to $2,000 per employee, costing the company a grand total of $600 million a year. Maintaining benefits, meanwhile, will cost the firm some $4.6 billion. So they can save 4 billion a year and tell employees to get their own coverage. Just what did government Think companies were going to do?? Always the unintended consequences....... NOT UNINTENDED CONSEQUENCES. absolutely exactly what they wanted to happen. this forces a large and ever growing number into the gov't health care plan-which will essentially be medicaid. hence the government will be able to control health care costs with death panels and multiple layers of bullshit to try to get patients drugs and prior auths for tests. this is EXACTLY what they want to happen. their lying bullshit about everyone being able to keep their healthcare and their doctors was exactly that Well Well Well page 107 of the health care bill,If your a muzzzi you don't have to pay for it and there is no penalty for not getting it Quoting: Anonymous Coward 15237539 Are you f?*cking serious? Don't make yourself ridiculous. before you make an idiot of yourself, check to see just how many of the president's favored constituents are exempt from his damn healthcare law. Dhimmitude or something like that...as Muslims view insuance/tax as GAMBLING which it is It is a demonstration of faithlessness....rebelling against the will of Allah... I am not Muslim but I feel the same... I do not trust thieves and liars to do the right thing. I also know they use orphans, psychiatric patients and elderly without relatives to test and do experimental procedures and medications... Death panels is real RFID "medically implantable device" is in their 4000 page nightmare VA is govt run, any questions??? The Vets are fiven the planned treatment...if they do not agree they can ask for redress and it will be re considered... However, in ObaMarx plan, there is no redress...If you do not like their planned treatment, too fking bad... You will never meet the health czar...and they will keep that flavor throughout. If you go to the ER you will see the ER doc...he will not contact your physician who understands your history...no, he will relay info to the new middleman doc...who you will not really communicate with...that Aclown will relay...and things will be missed and history will have a chance at being lost or mistranscribed etc...and once it is in the electronic record good luck if you need a correction... It will be really bacd, far worst than the many VAs that had infestation, infection control issues, or missing supplies, shortages, etc I have worked at VAs as PRN for over a decade and it is clear to me, as I did read that POS 'legislation' that the congressmen and women cannot even comprehend it but they passed it sounds criminal to me When I was involved in state legislation I never signed anything I would not stand behind and if I could not even be bothered to read it, I definitely would never sign such a thing. It is a travesty against all who need services Congressmen and women need to be drug screened, as they push that onto the public...They also need to not receive free healthcare, and the best services...they should be under the same umbrella as the public...they are not leaders but REPRESENTATIVES or SENATORS, not gods or Titans.... They have feathered their nests, their cronies nests, and even conspired with pharma-industril-petrochemical-military complex.... Despicable!!! What's that shit? ... Quoting: RTS REDUX if you are a politician, a muslim or a scientologist you will be exempt or so I've heard ya, sure, only white christians have to pay, right? They parade around like some kind of slave owners and they are not superior to the publc but try and convey laws forcing their 'elite' status while the people stand in free speech cages F U Q U E. Them Lots of truth here. |

If doctors do a poor job treating you, they won't be able to afford to practice and I believe that to be a good thing. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1290769 Besides, all they are are highly paid guessers. Then you will be fine with the Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant that you will get under Obamacare. It's already in the rural health clinics. You won't see doctors much any more at all. And if you think this will result in BETTER care and not so many misdiagnosis, this is what you deserve. In my town the clinic/hospital is already being run by the PA's and RN's.with like one old man MD overseer. I can't imagine it getting worse, but I'm sure it will. |

RTS REDUX User ID: 8620349 United States 09/19/2012 09:13 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The entire purpose of Obamacare is to begin the process of destroying private healthcare insurance and force everyone onto a Government Plan. I am sure we will enjoy having people, who are incapable of balancing a checkbook, deciding what treatments you are allowed to have, when you are allowed to have them, and who will provide them. They will dictate how you must live to access the care and treatments avialable. If you smoke, eat sweets, or live in a manner contrary to "their" view of what is appropriate to the best interests of the collective, rest assured, at some point they will deny you treatment and you will be denied access even if you can pay out of pocket. Quoting: Anonymous Patriot 11246097 Of course, the people who gave you Obamacare have no skin in this game and have the absolute best care available 24/7/365 on our dime. African Americans?(blacks for short) ya think so huh? I'm sure equality has been reached and it is tilting in the opposite direction |

Renegade (Me too) User ID: 21622140 United States 09/19/2012 09:17 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Dont you get it! Instead of VA hospitals, they can NOW access every hospital in the world. The level of care will be going through the roof. And I work with Physicians, they ALL want it. I don't believe Obamacare covers forign hospitals (and they would have to accept it first anyway). I had a frank discussion with my PC and he doesn't like it one bit, nor does many of his colleges. Your crusade to make the Obama Tax appear fruitful for the nation is an utter and complete failure and flies in the face of facts. Your fictitious world doesn't exist and I don't watch Fox News, so please don't go there. (Well, I do watch it once in a blue moon if something big is happening, but I tend to channel surf so that doesn't count!) My doc doesn't like it, either. If you think about it most docs are most likely republicans aka Obama haters. Not a good year to see doctors, they are all too political and upset this year. Next year they may get mad and leave and then we'll have H1Bvisa docs from India or perhaps more Muslims coming in to take care of our bodies. My doctor went ahead and retired. Who is John Galt? |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 2021744 United States 09/19/2012 09:21 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I currently have health insurance with my company. To serve their constituents and give them freebies. Why did the Reps/Conservatives pass Obamacare? To save their fat cat constituents money and pad their wallets. We can't win with this shit. Oh well, at least it'll be fun in the "end of days" when all these people are standing in judgement and have to justify themselves. That'll be fun. Right now, if they yank that bennie out from under you, they are saving $15,500 year per employee. They are not currently under any obligation to provide you with any coverage except to keep you around. If they were going to screw you, why would they wait until there is a $2,00 per employee penalty when they could have been doing it all along? ^^^^^This! |

Quoting: OVRANALYZE I have said this from day 1. All you liberals/progressives/communists/anarchists...that think that government run healthcare is going to be some kind of nirvana, I still invite you to go to your local Veterans Administration Hospital/Clinic and see how they treat us. 6 months to see a physician. After that, it could be weeks or months again before you have your follow up. Long waits for MRI's or CT scans. Dental? Forget it. Case in point: I have broken teeth from an IED blast I was hit with in Afghanistan. In March I walked into the VA and asked what could be done. After verifying that the injury did in deed happen in the line of duty, I was given a date for my dental appointment...NOVEMBER 23rd 2012! This isnt a rant about poor care. The physicians and care givers at the VA are excellent. I havent had one bad experience with a genuine healthcare professional at the VA. The bureaucracy, and lack of care givers vs patients however are a nightmare. You asked for it America, and all I can say is...welcome to the Veterans world. |
