I went to Catholic College and have many dear Catholics I love.
It is Christ who saves me, not an institution.
There is no need to confess my sin to a priest, Christ is my High Priest and intercessor.
Scripture warns explicitly about those who will forbid to marry... that is precisely what Catholic leadership has done to the priests.
Scripture tells us to call no man "Father" except God in heaven.
When you have one man submitting to another mortal man in this fashion you then have the sexual problems in the church.
The lost 10 tribes are in the Catholic church. They will be saved.
Quoting: ChivalryKnight I'll address one subject here. Like the Old Covenant, there is a ministerial priesthood in the New Covenant but made greater. Only a priest can offer sacrifice, remember in Daniel, it is repeated...the "continual sacrifice" prophesied. A priest's parish is His family. He can give full attention to those souls. Celibacy is higher thing in God's eyes, that's Scriptural. A priest stands in the place of Christ who was/is a celibate.
Okay, another, Our Lord was using hyperbole when He said
call no man Father. The Apostles and Our Lord addressed
holy men, leaders chosen by God, teachers...as Father.
Alright, a third, look it up, check the Gospel. Jesus said "whose sins you shall forgive" to the Apostles in John 20:23. You have to hear someone's sins to forgive them.
remember, remember, blessings to you Chivalry.
