"I would say yes, they were killed in the course of a terrorist attack on our embassy," Matt Olsen, the director of the National Counterterrorism Center, said Wednesday at a hearing of the Senate Homeland Security Committee, in response to questioning from Chairman Joe Lieberman (I-CT) about the attack that killed Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans. Now the US also believes that a former Guantanamo Bay detainee may have been involved in the attack. [link to news.antiwar.com] |

Bin Qumu was transferred from the detention camp to Libya in 2007, and was freed the next year in an amnesty for militants, according to The Times. His Guantanamo file reportedly shows he has ties to 9/11 financiers. Read more: [link to www.nydailynews.com] |
DoorBert (OP) User ID: 870568 United States 09/20/2012 06:24 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | White House dumps false cover story on embassy attacks? For a week various Obama administration figures, including the White House press secretary, have insisted that the attacks on U..S. embassies in the Middle East were a spontaneous reaction to an anti-Muslim video. But that excuse has not held up to even superficial scrutiny. The public certainly senses something is not right. Unlike the media, which is entirely obsessed with Mitt Romney’s remarks about the attacks, the public is troubled by President Obama’s handling or lack of handling of the crisis. The pictures of dead Americans and burned embassies strike a cord with Americans. So it is not surprising that Obama is down five points on handling of foreign policy and 12 points among independents, according to the latest Wall Street Journal-NBC poll. It may get worse as the Obama administration’s story about the embassy attacks changes dramatically. [link to www.washingtonpost.com] |

Matthew Olsen, director of the National Counterterrorism Center, repeated earlier statements by the Obama administration that initial conclusions do not point to a planned assault. Instead, he said, “the facts that we have now indicate that this was an opportunistic attack,” in which heavily armed militants took advantage of an ongoing demonstration at the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi. DoorBert (OP) User ID: 857877 United States 09/20/2012 06:45 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The Obama administration labeled Qumu an “ally of sorts,” according to the New York Times – that despite the fact that as of 2005, he was known as a “medium to high risk … likely to pose a threat to the US, its interests and allies.” What made him an ally? According to the Times, that status change was due to the Obama administration’s “remarkable turnabout resulting from shifting American policies rather than any obvious change in Mr. Qumu.” As a leader of the Libyan rebels, head of the Darnah Brigade, Qumu received support from NATO. And unnamed Western observers, according to the Times, felt that Qumu wasn’t a real threat. [link to www.breitbart.com] Last Edited by DoorBert on 09/20/2012 06:45 AM |

Neither possibility is flattering... "Be still, and know that I am God." Psalm 46:10 Truth needs no validation because it is self-evident and undeniable. Well then the White Houses' lawyers fought it and had it over-ruled. This is just to bolster why we 'need' gitmo and indefinite detention. |

I can see them covering that up during an election year. I think the US government and companies have poked the Islamic hornets nest too many times. This really seems like a systematic attacks on all the US embassies that we are either in a war with or near. |

I fully beleive a huge UFO could land in times square and an hour later the sheep would be asking what else is on.. Notice how the MSM seem to have realized this. No need to cover anything up anymore, just keep throwing excuses until one sticks and makes its rounds on facebook... Weeks later, as far as the masses are concerned, that has always been the official stance. So lets all watch now, as we get giddy thinking 'This is it!' the masses will finally wake up as MSM starts to cover the lies. Then we can all comfort each other when the opposite happens. You wanna know how the masses are reacting to this? All you'd have to do is stand outside a walmart and ask the throngs passing by. I gurantee not a single fuck will be given. This is the world we must endure, so is it any wonder so many of us want to watch it all burn? |
