Having said all that, it is important at this point to understand why we are here. If we imagine ourselves as pure consciousness, absent all things. no dust, not stars no other things in existence, perhaps we can get an Idea, (somewhat limited in scope due to the finite nature of our mind) we can begin to understand the motivating principles that generated all the seen and unseen that we now experience. My sense is that it is and was to experience something other than self, which in and of itself suggests that a separation and forgetting must take place. And while the separation creates pain it is our way home. Ie the avoidance there of. sk

I would however suggest that evolution is one that is guilded, ie there is a guiding force behind it, call it what you like. Hence the extremes are reconciled. creationism and the evolution of consciousness and it descent into matter.
