The Apostles Persecuted Acts 4

17 Then the high priest and all his associates, who were members of the party of the Sadducees, were filled with jealousy. 18 They arrested the apostles and put them in the public jail. 19 But during the night an angel of the Lord opened the doors of the jail and brought them out. 20 “Go, stand in the temple courts,” he said, “and tell the people all about this new life.”

21 At daybreak they entered the temple courts, as they had been told, and began to teach the people.

Those are some of my favorite verses to read in Acts.

God is all powerful--as many will soon see.
However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task
the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace. Acts 20:24

"This man really is the Savior of the world!" John 4:42

Look, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him;
and all the peoples of the earth will mourn because of him. So shall it be! Amen.

A family hosting a peaceful prayer time and get together with their friends, in their home, are being fined $250 per day.

Sheesh, maybe if they were to riot and kill people instead, the government would then see them as a religion of peace and allow them to practice their religion freely.

I hope this family wins against the city.

Family Faces Fines for Hosting Bible Study

A Florida family is facing fines for hosting a weekly Bible study in their home – an act that city officials argue violates zoning codes.

Shane and Marlen Roessiger, of Venice, Fla. are facing a $250 per day fine for hosting Friday night prayer and Bible study gatherings that are attended by as many as 10 people.

“It is difficult to understand how it is illegal to have a prayer meeting on Friday night with a half dozen people but it is alright if I invited the same group on Monday evening to watch Monday night Football,” Roessiger said.

“It’s a weekly Bible study,” said Brad Dacus, president of the Pacific Justice Institute. “It’s the same kind of Bible study that occurs in households across America.”

The Pacific Justice Institute is representing the Roessigers as they fight back against the city’s attacks. Dacus said they are hearing of a number of assaults on home Bible studies across the nation.

“They are having a specific problem with this family solely because they are having family and friends over to read the bible and pray,” Dacus told Fox News. “That may be fine in some tyrannical parts of the world. That is not okay in the United States of America.”

.....or parties, or home-school graduation ceremonies, or baby showers, or Holiday Celebrations with family, birthday parties and more.

The year my husband passed away, funds were tight so I had one more yard sale than I was allowed(we are allowed 2 each year). A neighbor reported it and the cops were at my door 5 minutes after the yard sale started.

I didn't see the harm in having one more, but it is the law.
If the cops don't catch you, you just might have a neighbor who will.

Persecution of Christians on rise – in U.S.

'It is dramatic, I have never seen levels of attacks like these'

A report by two U.S.-based religious freedom groups says anti-Christian persecution is on the rise in America.

The joint report by Texas-based Liberty Institute and Washington-based Family Research Council says groups like the American Civil Liberties Union aren’t the only culprits. The report says government agencies around the U.S. are trying to push Christian expression out the door.

“It is dramatic,” says Liberty Institute Founder Kelly Shackleford, of the recent hike in reported incidents of persecution. “I have been doing these types of cases for almost 25 years now. I have never seen the levels of attacks like these and how quickly they are now proliferating.”

Shackleford says government, from schools to social programs, is the ringleader.

“There are children being prohibited from writing Merry Christmas to the soldiers, senior citizens being banned from praying over their meals in the Senior Center, the VA banning the mention of God in military funerals, numerous attempts to have veterans memorials torn down if they have any religious symbols such as a cross, and I could go on and on,” Shackleford said.

Society now criminalizing parents that allow children to play in the yard - What is the world coming to?

A Virginia mother was recently interrogated four times by police, and visited twice by social services, after neighbors spotted the mother's children playing in their own yard unsupervised, and decided to report the non-incident to local authorities.

According to Lenore Skenazy of Free-Range Kids, such hysteria and Stasi-style paranoia are becoming the norm in America, where children are being excessively coddled, overprotected, and treated as though they are always in grave danger of being kidnapped or harmed.

Well, looks like the incident in San Juan Capistrano had a positive outcome to it:

Article posted 6/26/12

Home Bible study allowed to continue thanks to rezoning after couple was fined

Our take: City officials in San Juan Capistrano, Calif., have voted to adjust their zoning laws after Christian couple Chuck and Stephanie Fromm were fined for holding a Bible study in their home when city zoning laws decreed that no religious, fraternal or non-profit gatherings could be held in residential neighborhoods without a permit if three or more people were present. The couple was refunded and the zoning laws no longer penalize religious meetings based on the number of people present.

Communists hate religion. Study communism and you'll learn that religion is the first thing to go.
Communists want to rule like gods. They want you on your knees begging them for every little thing. A lot of people look at government as a godlike entity. They want food stamps, they beg the government. They want hydro and oil home substities, they beg the government. They want cheaper housing, they beg the government. Medical care, they beg the government. The government becomes god. People even want free birth control from the government.

Can you see where all of this is headed?

We live in a nation run by control freaks.

We live in a nation where 51 percent of the people agree with this statement: ”it is necessary to give up some civil liberties in order to make the country safe from terrorism.”

We live in a nation where people have become convinced that it is normal for security goons to touch the private parts of our women and our children before they are allowed to board their flights.

We live in a nation where the government is installing a nationwide network of very sophisticated facial recognition cameras to watch what we are all doing.

If we continue to allow our liberties and freedoms to be eroded at this pace, eventually we will have nothing left.

Someday our children may wake up in a dystopian nightmare far beyond anything that George Orwell ever dreamed of.

And who will be to blame?

We will be, because we never stood up and said something while we had the chance.

Throw beer cans and wine bottles on the front lawn.
Play loud secular music on the stereo.
Order pizza.
Make it look like you're having a secular party.

"Sure officer, it's just a party...we're serving bread and wine! Yes, of course we'll turn the music down"

As soon as the music is off, the cops won't want to return that night. Break out the Bibles.

That's what it's come to.
