Let's CANCEL doom and TALK COLLEGE FOOTBALL... MY top 10 rankings
A lot has happened in the first quarter of the football season so far. Some teams have proven they're over rated and some have shown a glimpse of what it takes to be a champion. You can tell by my username that i'm a Gator fan, however this list is unbiased.

I am going to put down MY top 10 in CFB:

1. Bama

No doubt on this one, Alabama looks like they didn't miss a beat from the last few years. I'm happy to see Bama doing as good as they are, it makes the SEC look good and Bama has a lot of tradition and history. I would put Bama up against the worst team in the NFL and give them a 50/50 chance of winning.

2. LSU

TBH i'm putting LSU here on reputation alone. While I do think they're a top 5 team, they have weaknesses that will be exposed further into the season. I highly doubt they will remain here for too long.

3. FSU

Ok ok... I know i'm going to get flack from the PAC-12 tards over this one, but FSU has one hell of a defense and a pretty good running game to go with it. They will be difficult to beat and they have a really easy path to the BCS.

4. South Carolina

Three SEC teams in the top 5?? Just wait I haven't even finished the top 5 yet! This ranking depends solely on Conner Shaw's ability to remain healthy. This weekend will show us what he's made of. Also, its Spurrier... Nuff said?

5. Oregon

This was a hard one to choose. Simply because Oregon has played no one and won't play anyone until well into the season. So far they have shown they have the speed on both sides of the ball to compete in the BCS. Lets give them this ranking until we see them face a good defense.

6. Georgia

Defense defense defense... The SEC is stacked with teams that know how to defend against the best offenses in the CFB world. Georgia's first real test will be against Florida in the "Worlds largest outdoor cocktail party".

7. Clemson

These guys know how to run the ball. I will be watching the FSU/Clemson game closely this weekend. One of these two teams will be exposed.

8. Florida

The team everyone loves to hate. The Gators have a good chance to reclaim some glory this season under Wil Muschamp. To go on the road to two mid level SEC teams and win in hostile environments is a tough task alone. Jeff Driskel has matured to a pretty good QB in just three games. If he continues to mature the Gators will be in the race for the SEC title game. We will know more in early October when the LSU Tigers come to Gainesville.

9. Notre Dame

Again, defenses win championships. Notre Dame has been great on the defensive side of the ball. The offense has started to click. Will Notre Dame compete for a National title? No. But they will shake things up in the National Title race later in the season.

10. Stanford

They beat USC, badly. Sure the score wasn't a blow out but USC had no answers for how Stanford played. USC = Overrated and Stanford can ride that win into my top 10 until they lose to Oregon later in the season.

Are there teams that deserve to be in the top 10 that I didn't rank? Let's hear it and why!

Your top ten sounds reasonable to me. Bama is incredibly talented down thru Stanford, a more talented team than many give credit for.

A&M will be a tough group to deal with in the years to come as I am impressed with the Frosh QB. I am not a big fan of FSU however they dominated last week. To me, they are an on and off team. Utah State is one to be reckoned with as the year pans out.

Yea, Manziel of aTm is a beast and really played well against Florida in the first half of that game two weeks ago. My problem with him is that UF exposed his very real weakness of not handling pressure well. Which is no surprise for a TRUE freshman QB. Give him this year and beginning of next and he will be one of the nations best dual threat QB's.

Yea, i'm not a FSU fan either. This weekend will tell us a lot about both them and Clemson. One of them is way over rated and we only need two more days to find out. One of them is going home out of the top 15.

I haven't watched Utah State much, I will have to start looking closer at them. Thanks for the heads up.

I'm curious which conference you guys think is the strongest? IMHO it's the SEC by leaps and bounds, but I have a hard time figuring out who's second strongest this year. I want to say the Big 12, but the PAC12 is kinda confusing me.

I don't know too much about betting or Vegas odds but I can tell you that Arkansas has a real chance of losing. They are 49th in passing yards, but thats deceiving since Wilson is hurt and is questionable for playing this weekend. They are 107th in rushing and 75th in scoring.

Rutgers is 66th in the nation in rushing and 3-0 with a lot of confidence. If Wilson plays, Arkansas wins. If not they lose.

UCLA is probably the most under rated team in the country. Oregon State loses this game, badly.

Penn State is a toss up, they are so hit and miss and rightly so after what they've been thru.

Michigan will lose to Notre Dame. Notre Dame has one hell of a defense and Robinson has been exposed by Alabama earlier this year. They will shut him down, and that equals a loss for Michigan.

Good luck makin money though! Hope this helps.

Yes, good ole UT... So tell me, why do you think they deserve to be in the top 10?

The reason I didn't put then in there was because they've beaten Wyoming, New Mexico and Ole Miss... Thats not a real good resume. They will be tested this weekend against OSU, but not even a good test. Texas SHOULD win this one, but not until the 4th quarter and the score will be deceiving.

The engravings translate to "This space intentionally left blank."

The prayer is inscribed in an ancient script, rarely used today. It seems to be a philippic against small insects, absent-mindedness, and the picking up and dropping of small objects.

The gate is open; through it you can see a desolation, with a pile of mangled bodies in one corner. Thousands of voices, lamenting some hideous fate, can be heard.
The way through the gate is barred by evil spirits, who jeer at your attempts to pass.

I agree that WVA has talent. Theres a reason why the receivers are catching so many balls, and why Smith is completing them and it's not all skill or talent. WVA has played:

Marshall and James Madison. I think that your average pop warner football team could toss the ball against either of those teams. WVA will have a test against Texas Oct. 6th, and will lose that game. After that WVA plays three other 10 25 teams, Oklahoma being the only top 10 team, and by the time WVA plays Oklahoma, they won't even be in the top 10 any more.

WVA is way over rated. This will be clear in the month of October.

Re: Let's CANCEL doom and TALK COLLEGE FOOTBALL... MY top 10 rankings
How about this years Cinderella team? You guys have any thoughts on who it may be? I've given this some thought, mainly because everyone likes to see teams that aren't usually in the mix of things, do well.

For me this team would be Louisville. Charlie Strong is one hell of a coach and if he can pull off an undefeated season, not only does he deserve Coach of the year awards, but Louisville will have some respect going into next season.

Worst team in CFB? FBS teams... Time to piss off some people here i'm sure.. But it has to be Colorado! I mean, to lose to Fresno State, give up 561 yards of offense to Fresno State in the FIRST HALF?! Wow... I'm not sure they could win a game against a high school team..
