We are not even close to the lows back in late 2011 ($72.80's as I recall). I have been reading that once we break 72, that its time for a ride to the bunker.

Keep in mind that was we roll QE3,4,5,6... so do other Central Banks. EU is printing, Japan is printing, China, etc... so it seems to me, and I damn sure am no economist, that the value of the dollar versus those currencies will not dramatically change since we are all hitting the ctrl-p button all day long. It does however add credibility to the argument for increased commodity and PE prices as well as an booming DOW/Stock Market.

There is deflation and that is what is triggering the printing of massive amounts of money to try and save it !

Deflation is real but is the death nell to any recovery.
If the leveraged balance sheets of the banks lose 1 dollar of their leverage they are even.............if they lose 2 of their leveraged dollars they are bankrupt ! JPM has a 44 to 1 leveraged balance sheet (that is known by the public)

What are the implications for the price of gold?

I have a very laid back approach to prepping so I'm admittedly in the dark about some of these subject matters. I don't stress out over it but at the same time, I don't completely sit back and do nothing.

Truth is nobody really knows at any point how thoroughly metals are manipulated and that maybe we're just watching more manipulation.
After reaching 49.94 silver went down to 35. and sat there for many moons.
I've yet to see evidence I could comprehend in terms of what metals are actually worth, ie., complete loss of ratio between gold silver for decades..so there is this chronic confusion that defies clearing up.
The best minds on silver haven't been able to grasp a real prediction without having it turn to dust.

I have just a bit of silver which never ceases to be beautiful no matter how much people talk around it. :)
