1.9 million?
Isn't that under 1/10 of his income?
I get slammed for three times that percentage on payroll tax on my check, with no money left over for a yacht and a car elevator.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 24152858

Another liberal. You don't think he paid enough....Lets see you give up 44% of your income.

Except most liberals are mad he paid too much.

First they LIED and said he paid none, now they are pissed because he paid too much.

Who keeps supporting these lying cocksucking fucking liberals?

And the LORD spake, saying, "First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin, then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who being naughty in My sight, shall snuff it." Amen.

What democrat or liberal is that generous with their money? Biden gave under 300 dollars to charity. Liberals do love to give to charity when it is not their money.
 Quoting: sonic doom

Giving away your own money = charity
Giving away someone else's money = redistribution

You can't believe in one and do the other. The left believes gov needs to redistribute wealth so why would we expect them to give to charity when they feel its not their responsibility to help those in need?

Why is what he donates to charity relevant, anyway. You aren't really trying to imply that donating to charity = good guy, right? Sandusky did a lot of charity work, too. Look how good of a guy he turned out to be. Only that 14.1% figure is relevant, and yes, the whole tax loophole exploitation thing has been an issue. It isn't "more power to him" to some people or the layman who isn't privy to those same loopholes.
Plus, presidential candidates always donate a lot leading up to election time because it makes them look good to sheep. Were you praising Obama for donating the most and having the highest tax rate a few years ago?
Also, Reagan only donated 1.5% to charity, liberal FDR only 1.65%.
Politically, it really doesn't mean a thing how much a multimillionaire with millions in exorbitant income gives when it is a mere drop in their bucket, anyway.

who the fuck are you to decide what's fair or "exorbitant"

really, i could not care less. it's not of our business how someone lawfully makes their money.

but now that it's out there, good for him for donating TENS of MILLIONS.

Why is it such a bad thing in the left's view that someone actually gets to choose where their money goes, instead of letting the government choose for them?

Notice the choice of words in the title?

If it said Romney paid a 14% tax rate the natural question is why is he paying less taxes percentage wise than a person making 60K a year?

He didn't write the tax code.....why should we be mad at him for that.

If you could only pay 14% you would in a heartbeat. And I doubt you would think twice about those paying 30%
 Quoting: *Heisenberg*

If he wants to lead, he needs to be concerned about those paying 30.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 17549114

14% is a very misleading number for an employee of a business rather than a business owner.

If I pay 15% taxes for the year, that doesn't account for the thousands of dollars I spent on overhead, expenses, membership fees, licenses, etc.

If you have a job, that place you work-someone has to pay the electric, water, sewer, taxes, paper, furniture, etc. that so many take for granted. It's not easy and takes a special person to make it work when there are rough spots.

I guarantee EBT, teachers' unions and politicians DID NOT build that.

Better for it to go to charity than tot those thieves in Washington, who will give it to their cronies, put into pet projects or just flush it down the toilet. At least there is a chance the money will do some good in the hands of a charity.
