Quoting: Anonymous Coward 24016333 I'm curious, this thing seems to be moving relatively slow? Or it's in very high altitude obviously so it just looks like it. The fastest figher jets as far as I know can go up to some 1.8 km per second??? So either the reports about fighters actually FOLLOWING it are bullshit or this thing wasn't a meteor at all. Or someone has ridiculously fast jets we don't know about THIS^^^^^^^^ wtf were jets doing there in the first place? |

Over Scotland down the middle of England and was thought to have landed in the English channel. Anyone remember that one? was it only 6 months ago? If you overlaid there flight paths would you get a huce Crucifix? I think you would and I think it is a sign, but I'm just that way. |

Or someone has ridiculously fast jets we don't know about well, stuff has to be moving very fast to burn in the atmosphere. and a meteor is going about 25,000 mph a jet can only go 1000 mph. they begin to burn at 75 miles up and put on their show at 50 miles up. so, now figure that you are 500 miles away from it. yes, it will trace a slow arc. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 5916429 which is it? this is still the best vid, shows it breaking up link to other vids here [link to www.universetoday.com] |
